I found this here: http://www.igoldrush.com/feat001.htm -

================================================

- .... There is a top-secret discussion board where key domain players exchange inside information!

For obvious reasons, I am not going to provide details! Let me just say this: the discussion board does exist, and it counts some of the most powerful domain name owners in the world (judging by their domain portfolios) among its members.
....
================================================

Has anyone ever heard of this? :)

Yes Rick Swartz has one. It's not so top secret though. Alot of people know about it. It is an invite only thing though.

Who is Rick Swartz?
What needs to be kept secret?

I heard it requires a blood oath at a Traffic confrence, and leaking info is punishable by death. :(

That information was STRICTLY private. *Pulls out noose*.

Has anyone ever heard of this?

No. It sounds reasonable, though. Private forums have grown in numbers recently. It's a good way to protect your site against posters who contribute nothing to the community.

I always thought it would be a good idea to start a "invite only" domainers club...

And if I started it I wouldn't have to worry about an invite:)

Great Idea... Will someone invite me please... LOL.

And for good reason, Rick Swartz didn't make his millions sharing ideas with others,In no way am i saying it is a bad thing to share ideas with others,The problem lies here...People are hungry to make $$$'s....they will beg,borrow and steal in this industry to do it...So it goes both ways...Share to much....let some cats out the bag..It can cost you dearly...I think Rick Swartz was,and is smart for doing his business how he see's fit,After all...He has made millions

My wife's ex-boyriend had that picture on his wall - but I always thought it was Richard Simmons...

Many people think that.

I guess they do look a lot alike.

I can't believe I've never seen that website before. You would think someone of his stature would be high in google rankings. Or I just passed it up many times.

Think I saw it before(just the site maybe not inside).. But I sort of understand what it was now.

If it's a secret forum expect it not to be indexed by search engines.
Also expect anyone that is a member to uphold the secrecy of the location.

Something to look forward to by joining the future TRAFFIC Conferences...

We are the Net's largest developer. The cranes are out, the bulldozers are rolling, the trucks are lined up! New sites are opening every week!! The largest infrastructure on the Internet is being created right here.

Yeah, I looked at some of his sites. Do you really need bulldozers and cranes to build custom parking pages? Sweeeeet development dude.

does someone know an actual full portfolio of the domains he owns
?

cannot find his entire portfolio, I doubt that he'd advertise it openly, but I did find this article from July 2003:

"Boca Raton businessman Rick Schwartz owns thousands of registered Web sites, including a smattering of complaint sites, mostly ending in sucks.com. Among them are France, Air France, Tim Robbins, Carnival Cruise Lines, MCI, The Miami Dolphins, NRA and Modernage Furniture.

He registered the Carnival complaint site after an unsatisfactory cruise and the Modernage site after new furniture was delivered with stains on it. The stained furniture was replaced two weeks later, within hours of the site registration, which never went live.

"Companies just have to treat their customers and employees well to prevent complaints," Schwartz said.

His complaint sites are not to make money - his thousands of others do that - but rather to get attention. They do. He got so many cease and desist letters that he registered the domain name ceaseanddesist.com.

"I've had many legal threats, but only two actually went to trial," he said. "I lost one and won the other."

With a recent appellate court verdict that weighs the benefit to consumers, he feels he now could win any suit brought against him or his company, Action Advertising Products."

===============
He is the kind of guy everybody loves to hate, but at the same time trade places with at any time! Some brilliant thinking going on in his head!

This site is really old. I don't think he's updating it anymore. Just sitting back collecting $$$$$ from his parked domains and fielding emails from people trying to buy them and laughing.

We currently own over 4300 dotcom properties. Because of security concerns we no longer list all of our domains.
