In which cases should you feature? Any body have experience? If I don't feature will my domains ever be seen?
I've only been domaining a month with most of that time just spent reading and learning but I did feature one domain on the sedo home page that I hand-regged and it sold for $1,051. So having had a 100% success rate I think it's certainly worth doing. I did notice that I got more views and offers when I put a price on the domain instead of just listing it as make offer. Hope this helps

Hi
I have been considering - Featuring with sedo for along time also, but when you consider the cost and also the sales commision Fee etc.
Choosing the right category as cmason and sedo suggest for listing/sales is important.
I havn't had any sales with sedo, just direct - enquires/contact from buyers.
How many millions of domains do they say is on their system 10,11 ??
Ty and gl with the new pricingNICE WORK!! That's a pretty sweet sale so early in domaining. I initially had prices on all of my domains (as advised), but then removed them as I was scared that a $995 price may scare away some bidders - perhaps that logic is incorrect. I think I will put prices back on all of my domains and if they really want the domain they will at least make an offer.
I'm thinking about trying it with a pretty decent .com of mine.... but haven't decided yet. I would say though that setting a (fair!) price for the domain is a good idea. So many domainers are so hard to work with (asking $10,000 for any domain, etc) that many times I think buyers don't even bother making offers.
I have a success rate of about 75% in the featured domains section. I pay the $69 to have the domain featured across the sedo system. I know this is almost twice the price than the regular $39 listing, but it is worth the cost to have the domain listed on the four other Sedo markets - UK, Germany, France and Spain.
My last 3 buyers for my featured domains have been from France!
What you should do when putting a domain into the featured section is:
1. Pick a domain that is likely to get a lot of interest - There's no point in putting something like bigredapplesinabasket.com in there - use your common sense.
2. List all your domains that are for sale in the description. This ensures that your domains will get seen by anyone looking at your domain and will increase your chances of offers on those too.
3. Put a price on the domain that is reasonable and attractive to prospective buyers. Buyers are attracted to listed prices rather than "Make offer" and I find it best to have something like $995 rather than $1000.
Good luck![]()
Len, you just gave me some great insight into my Sedo view stats. As per my previous post here, I have a good number of non-featured domains that get 20+ views a day...I just realized that ONLY those are listed in my single "featured" domain description!! *THAT* must be why they are getting views...just added more to the the description list to see if it brings those up as well!!
If this is true, it is DEFINITELY worthwhile to have at least one featured domain with the rest of your domains listed in the description.
Many thanks!!
UPDATE: Put all of my domains in the description for my featured listing and now even the domains that were getting 0 views a day before are not getting 20+!!! My featured domain is only getting about 60 views a day so this is a HUGE benefit. From now on I am going to make sure that I always have at least 1 featured domain.
Hope this helps others.
