To all those "Deviants!"

I decided to go to deviant*art to look for some photoshop brushes when I suddenly got redirected to a malware site asking me to download a "virus scanner" because my computer was supposedly infected. I went back to deviant*art, but continued to get redirected (did not happen with any other site I went to).

As a precaution, I did a thorough virus scan and a thorough spyware/malware scan in which I turned up clean (I never download or go anywhere that I don't trust as I have never had a virus before :tu. I did a search for the link I was redirected to and it is supposedly a trojan on the server side.

If you go there and happen to get redirected, close your browser and do not click on any links. It does not happen to everyone as it is a random user redirect.

Edit: Quick Update - My friend just went there as a test and got the same redirect.

Did this happen when you went to the main page or after you clicked a certain link? I just went to the main site and it loads just fine.

Hmm...it happened twice when I was in the navigation menu and when I clicked "Resources and Stock Images" I got redirected.

I just went back a sec. ago and this time I didn't get redirected so it may have been fixed, but I'll let you know if it happens again.

ok thanks for the reminder! if ever I get redirected, I won't click to any malicious links

never had a problem browsing dA and I've been on there every day for the past 2 years.
