.org
.cc
.info
.biz
.cn
.ws
.tv
.org.uk
.me.uk
.co.uk
.us
.name

if its not in the list above please post!

I myself prefer the original .com .net .org
domains and I have not yet bought another TLD.

oh, I just hate it when people think that .com is the best. It depends entirely on the domain itself. I mean, I would say that Meselathomia.info is better than .com or .net.

Yes, there is no question about it that .info fits better. But the real concern should be how memorable it is and how marketable it is. .COM is the most popular among the general web surfing community.

I did not say that no one uses it. I did not say that at all. I know many folks use it.

What I said was that it is not a popular ext with the general web surfing community and therefore a very bad marketing move to use .BIZ over .COM and that .COM already covers business. There was no need to release .BIZ other than to create more domains and generate more revenue for registrars and ICANN.

If you use .biz and someone else uses your .COM equivalent, then you will undoubtedly lose repeat surfers to the .COM owner.

I do agree with that last statement. But I do also think that people are more aware, and are made more aware when they see such an extension...

I know that good keywords with .biz are worth quite alot and I also know that most netsurfers will know the meaning of "biz" (which is business) so well, if .com is not the right site, they might try .net or .biz. I have also seen businesses using .info and .ws as their site domains. But of course, since .com means commercial and has been around the longest, it has always been public's first choice. As for me, if a .com is taken, I might consider .net. I rarely go for .org and .info unless they're informational domains. I like .ca domains as well.

.sc (South Carolina) is my favorite; however, due to the outrageous $50 reg fee, I only have two. I'm really annoyed with the .source move, because I've developing a .South Carolina site (kiawah.sc).

.com is next, followed by .us, then .net.

erm, .sc is not for South Carolina, its for the Syechells.
