I don't buy Indian names, but I know a bunch of you are into them sooo . . .

I'm in Mumbai at the moment and I looked through the "Times of India" newspaper to see what extensions are used.

Here is what I found:

.com 18
.net 3
.in 2
.org 2
.co.in 1

This is excluding the classifieds (I am on vacation afterall).

Well, check out the "big 6" first. Times of India only makes a minute part of the newspaper circulation.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say here? What do you mean by .com - 18, .net - 2, .in - 2 etc.?

The two biggest English language newspapers in India are Times of India and Hindustan Times (correct me if I'm wrong or the figures have changed. I'm also not aware of the South Indian newspapers). The largest circulation is of the Hindi language dailies, of which, in North India at least, Dainik Bhaskar, Patrika etc. are the biggies.

The other major English language newspapers are The Hindu and Indian Express.

"No good deed goes unpunished."

But, hey - thanks for the research, some of us do appreciate it!
