Yesterday I saw 1000+ files created automatically in home3/xxx (main folder) maximum 3kb since 2011. The name of these files start with index001.html, index002.html

I tried to delete these files using File Manager but my browser gets stuck loading these files.

    Why these files are created?
How can I delete these files?

"I contacted several times with hosting provider and they says that this is due to scripts I am running on my server"

Use FTP client to login and delete files.
Then run your scripts and check if files are being created. If yes, you have to consider looking at your scripts to see if there're any injection of external code.
Otherwise that should be server side problem.

Your webhost should be able to tell you what scripts are creating these files. You could open one of the HTML files in a text editor, and you might be able to tell what is creating it.

I really don't know the reason. The files are empty and has no content.

I believe these files are not created by any script, as they are outside of public_html folder. These files are in home3 main cpanel folder.

Then it seems a server issue, did you contact your provider?
