Hi all,

I've posted new threads on here a couple of times recently. Have finally found a design I'm happy with. Still not perfect, but what do you think?

It's not too clever in Firefox but I'm working on that.

Cheers,

Richard

Wow!! I saw one of your ealier designs of this website, and something was just missing, though I think you've hit the nail on the head with this one. I think I suggested adding a bit more colour with images, but then queried whether it would look like you had too many, but I think it looks great with the ones along the bottom, and the rollover effects. Also like the way you've tried to use up the blank white space at the top of your page by putting a little slogan up.

Keep up the good work,

Adam :)

The graphcs, colors, fonts, layout are all perfect. And all CSS!

I like the Javascript image swap but from a UI standpoint I think annoying. My first inclination is to hover my mouse over the words but when I do the swap takes place and breaks the flow of information.

This is an excellent design! I really love it. I especialy love the orange, green and blue box's at the bottom they really catch the users eye and gives it a nice feel to the website. Top marks, nice piece of work, job well done!

It's good to see that 'index4.htm' displays the layout correctly now, but the text size is too small to read in Firefox and Netscape.

Again, don't use percentages, points or em's for font size. Either don't specify a size, or use pixels instead.

Read this article: http://www.xs4all.nl/~sbpoley/webmatters/fontsize.html

Thanks for all your kind comments.

Rowan - that's very contradicting to what others in newsgroups and forums have told me. I was told NOT to use pixels and to use percentages so people can resize the text with their browsers. Now I'm confused :S

Did you read the article?

And did you see my screenshot?

Percentages are one of the worst ways to set font size, the only reason some people don't use pixels is because IE can't enlarge pixel sizes, however every other browser can, as far as I know. You could at least just remove sizes all together and it should be perfect for everyone.

Here's another article about font sizes: http://old.alistapart.com/stories/fear4/index.html
