I pop the thought in my head twice a year or so...we will die someday and that is it, we don't bring physical stuff, we don't bring memories, we don't bring emotions, nothing, so what's the sense of living? Have fun now but not remember it tomorrow, it's just too scary to think about really.

Does anyone know if we will live a second life, so my last life I was Einstein, now I am me, then I'll be Barack Obama Jr? Like is it possible I am born again, is it possible we lived millions of lives but can't remember it? Supernatural?

I had given that possibility thought before you even mentioned it though because before you are born you are dead right?

Live for yourself is all i can really say about it. I do not mean be selfish or anything like that but do the things YOU want to do.

I think it was either Gary Shandling, Billy Crystal or Jerry Seinfeld that siad this:

"I'm not afraid of dying, I just don't want to be there when it happens."

I think about this a lot - how will I be remembered when I move on? What if my parents move on?

Everyone goes, its just a matter of when. I don't get too attached to my worldly possessions, in the after life, you wont need them. But I like having some stuff so I can leave a legacy behind. I feel in my short 17 years of life, I have made a giant impact on a lot of peoples' lives, whether if they or I know it or not.

I don't think anyone knows whether reincarnation really does exist (unless there's someone here who remembers who they were in their past life? :D

But thinking of death is a very scary thing...especially because of the grief imposed on the people who cares about us.

I fear death ever day, like that lingering bitter sour smell often left behind on the coach cushions whenever my 87 year old grandmother would visit and sit on them for hours without moving. It was awful and disgusting, yet we knew it was something natural we all must face eventually.

Let this be a reminder... call your old smelly relatives today, and tell them hello and that you love them. :)

Is it the weed or I seen the afterlife ?
Just kidding ^_^ Well i've seen many interviews on people with near death experiences, the most notable is the Pam one, I forgot her full name :P, anyway the doctors could confirm her being in flat EEG, that means no brain activity, also with plugs on her ears and tape on her eye, brain dead ..., the operation was a success it was a brain operation, so anyway after she wake up she explained everything that went in the room, everything they talked the people who came in the operation room, she described the instruments, and she said that she was looking at her body and could see the walls and true them and she see her parents them they said to go back. The doctors couldn't explain how she heard these things and described everything while she was brain dead and taped... there are many more, no one can confirm them and no one can deny they them that they are fake :) sorry for my English, not a native and just woke up ^_^ need my morning weed ^_^ take care !]
Oh and the last thing, if you ever are scared of death particular what happens after, go to a psychiatrist and if it doesn't work, smoke some good weed ^_^
Nothing to be scared about just your poisoning thoughts, I've been true this, its you who hurt yourself, poisoning you mind with unreal thoughts, no one dies, you only reach a new level of consciousness a new level of vision, a new unknown world ^_^
np$ are most welcomed if I helped you out :P
Take care!

Edit: Oh and I forgot my moto, don't think about death to much because you forget about life, instead smoke some good weed, drink pepsi get a girl and watch Death Note! ^_^

To my mind, it is not possible. Since we have born we live our happy lives and than we die and that's all - finish without exit.

Reincarnation in some form makes the most sense to me intellectually. Some scientists believe the universe is created and destroyed in an endless cycle, so why not people? I think we may serve a different purpose in each incarnation but keep the same sense of identity.

Let's face it, because we are all made of the same stuff that created that first spark in the universe, we're all intertwined and related.. we should try to get along, eh?

 At my age, you can't help but think about it, especially as you see those you know pass away one by one, you begin to wonder if you'll be next.

My one comforting thought is that I feel death is not the absolute end but I still have queasy feelings about the passing.

everybody wants to go to heaven, but nobody wants to die

Alternatively, can you imagine what would happen if we did somehow perfect a medical solution that would allow our bodies to continue to live without ageing? The population of the world would balloon, there would be no room on earth within two generations.

Reminds me of a quote from the villain in Steven Segal's Marked For Death:

Everybody waan' go heaven,... ..but nobody want dead!

When you walk through a forest that has not been tamed and interfered with by man, you will see not only abundant life all around you, but you will also encounter fallen trees and decaying trunks, rotting leaves and decomposing matter at every step. Wherever you look, you will find death as well as life.

Upon closer scrutiny, however, you will discover that the decomposing tree trunk and rotting leaves not only give birth to new life, but are full of life themselves. Microorganisms are at work. Molecules are rearranging themselves. So death isn't to be found anywhere. There is only the metamorphosis of life forms. What can you learn from this?

Death is not the opposite of life. Life has no opposite. The opposite of death is birth. Life is eternal.

Death is a stripping away of all that is not you. The secret of life is to "die before you die" --- and find that there is no death.

Eckhart Tolle
