Sorry to bring up such a ... grim topic :hehe:

Anyway, what are some of your near death experiences?

I've had so many in my life time... I seriously think something's preventing me from dying... cause honestly I've done some of the dumbest things before...

For instance:

when i was 6 i was rollerblading in the house with a stick or pen or something in my mouth... don't ask i was 6. I tripped..i fell... the stick/pen/thing jabbed the roof of my mouth and it started bleeding quite badly... luckily i didn't fall right on it. Cause if I did, it would've probably punctured my brain and I wouldn't be here typing this stuff.

When i was 10 i was in this car accident. Afterwards, i recalled that had the car i was in stopped a split second later, the car that hit us probably would've hit the passenger door. Instead, it hit the front wheel and i only broke my leg. If it hit straight on the passenger door I'd probably be crushed or paralyzed.

There are more cases..I just forget them lol.

A few years ago I was at a family reunion (These family reunions are a blast, they're not boring).

Anyway, don't ask, but we had tied up one of my uncles, and we were throwing "pies" of baking flour onto him. His son, one of my cousins came up to me as I was running to throw another pie onto uncle, and he (my cousin) hit the pie, meaning for the flour to go all on my chest. Instead, it went directly in my face.

Of course, the first thing you do when startled is suck in.

I spent the next hour coughing flour out of my lungs. For the first few minutes, it was REALLY hard for me to breath, and hurt really bad.

I was on a vacation with my cousins. We were riding bikes. They both rode down to the bottom of this large hill. They started yelling something to me, it sounded like go... my hearing must really be off cuz they were saying stay there. I rode down the hill and got side swiped by a car. The car hit its breaks so hard, it left groves in the pavement. Luckily, no broken bones or anything. It could have been a real mess.

I remember one time when I was crossing the road to buy something, I was talking on the mobile phone, and there was this girl on the opposite of the street, she is very beautiful and my body just have the intention to go to her, her eyes were like this (O_O)

Without even thinking of why, I continued walking non-stop, with my ears on the phone, and month chatting, then suddenly, theres this freaking car, coming out of no where, with a speed of AT LEAST 90mph, when the limit is only 70mph, head off straight to the road! I swear to god the car was less than half a meter from my body!
I was shocked and angry that I filed a complaint to the traffic department...

Now I know why the lady's eyes were like that... she was giving me a sign of alert...

Head on collision, back in 1998 I was working for AT&T installing network when I was driving down the highway doing 65-70 when I looked down at the passenger seat for about a quarter of a second to get my cellphone and next thing I remember was hearing someones horn and looking up seeing a car and then BAM! After the car stop spinning around I couldn't remember if I lost conscious or not everything happen so fast, I opened the door and put my legs out and sat there while some people came up with napkins trying to get my head to stop gushing blood...this is the time I have felt the most pain in my life because my knees where in extreme pain I had tears in my eyes. It turns out the guy was drunk and drove onto my side hit me head on and I went spinning..I wasn't wearing my seat belt so I went flying over to the passenger side smacking my head into the windshield my knees bent the steering wheel in half and also shifter. It took me about a week before I could walk again and two months before I could walk without pain..the first thing the Medic said to me when they arrived was "Wow your still alive?"

This is about the point in my life when I realized that you can die at anytime, anywhere and you don't even have to expect it. :)

I was planning on commiting suicide. A teacher showed up at my house, and took me to a doc. Otherwise I would've been dead now.

Hmmm - My closest call really was a few years back ... I was working in heavy construction laying Concrete Pipe , and had a 3,200 Lb (3' D x 8' L) piece of pipe come loose from the excavator and Toppled 14 feet down in the Trench Box on top of me.

If it weren't for the fact we were working in soft Beach Sand - I'm quite sure I wouldn't be here harassing you folks ;) - It mashed my Body imprint about 18 inches deep and landed on me from the chest down in such a way that I could actually still breathe. Give or take a Cracked hand and plenty of Meat and Skin being ripped off my arms .... I was fine ;) (Though I do still wake up in the middle of the night having a panic attack from it - No Kidding ;) It took me a few days to actually remember the actual impact of it hitting me).

For those who are lost on the subject of Trench boxes : http://www.americanshoring.com/SDTS.html
http://www.americanshoring.com/BoltBox.html

It is intended as a safety product to mainly prevent the Earth/Soils from collapsing on you when you are in the Ditch/Trench .... In my case - It actually guided the pipe right to me ;) - The safety issue was with the way the guys attached the pipe to the excavator.

Never the less - I only work part time in the Heavy Construction Industry now a days .... And Have not had a Computer or Domain Fall on me yet.

WOW! I didn't think so many car-related things could happen... Well you guys should always wear your seatbelt (I don't know why you shouldn't...it's not cool or anything...). Thinking about all these near death experiences tend to make me think someone's guarding over me.... doesn't it make you think that too?
