What is Registrar Lock?
Registrar Lock (also referred to as High Security) is a feature that locks all of the information in a domain record at the Registry so that it cannot be modified.

When active, Registrar Lock prevents a domain name from being transferred, deleted and/or modified by a third party. The only way to modify any of the information for a particular domain is to log into your Master Account,

When active, Registrar Lock prevents a domain name from being transferred, deleted and/or modified by a third party. When you make changes to your domain record from within your Master Account, the system will unlock your domain name to submit the changes to the Registry. Once those changes have been made, Registrar Lock will be activated again.

re 'the system will unlock your domain name to submit the changes to the Registry'...not so sure about this. I have had to unlock the domain myself from the management panel to ensure a domain transfer from one registrar to another. Otherwise the transfer bounced.
