The problem is, it's simple. .blackfriday is one day...

Has nothing to do with new gTLDS IMO.

This could be an incorrect assumption on your part sampling .blackfriday from 11/16-11/21. It had 17 registrations.

If you take a look at .christmas during the same period, it had 30 registrations, nearly double.

So, does one day out of the year have a play on the success of a ngTLD? Or perhaps .blackfriday isn't as important as .christmas?

Black friday is a mess anyways. Take walmart for example. A week early now you can get black friday pricing on there merchandise starting this year. Wont be long many more will throw more then one day prices out there as well. Think walmart is offering black friday prices a week long now not just one day even.

Probably so Wal-Mart doesn't have to pay out anything in liabilities if this were to happen again. All over a savings of $2.72.
