My question would be, why?

If it would get those kind of hits I don't see that as a reasonable appraisal.

The hyphens pretty much kill the name. $0 imo. I don't know anyone who would buy this.

Not looking to sell it at the moment. Am thinking about developing so I could create SEO and get adwords....I would think it would get high SEO, since the hyphens are not recognized by the search engine.

That's funny. Let me tell you:

Since Google results 1 - 10 of about 2,380,000,000 for "e-----m-a-i-l"

So please don't forget to secure the following:

e-----m-a-i-l.com
e-------m-a-i-l.com

and all others, they are all available to reg! :yell:

c-r-a-p get 88 Million searchs
All the search is a result of Google find "e" , "m" , "a" , "i", "l"
Seperately in all their listings
NOT from finding your crappy Name.
MEGA waste of Time
1/ Thinking of name
2/ Checking Google
3/ Buying it
4/ Posting Appraisal Thread

Might as well waste some more time and Delete it / Give it away / Placing in Trashcan

Life is too short for this Rubbish.
Research a nice useable name
Develop it (even a simple minisite/blog)
Enjoy it

Well good luck, you may also want to pick up p--o-r--n.com and p--i-z--z-a.com

Not even worth reg fee, I wouldn't take it for free to tell you the truth.

Google ignores the dashes. All it sees is "email" Of course that will have an enormous amount of searches. But when somebody searches for "email" the listing for the domain e--m-a-i-l.com will probably appear somewhere on page 73,000,000. Value = $0.

They are not hits, they are google results!
and with that many...they'll never find you ;)

Hopefully the parking will bring you something....

...And that finally makes sense! :)

However when scanning the C--C.com's I find that all of them are gone, so the double hyphen may not be that bad, just in this example.

I own V--N.com, I can't even sell it for $23!
Double hyphen = bad news

e-m-a-i-l would be a great name imho, it's the double hyphen after the "e" that really kills this one.

It would be darn hard to SEO the word email anything decent. Despite domainers proudly saying how many Google results a domain has, those results are going to be competing against you for a top ranking. For SEO purposes, I'd really recommend looking at niche terms (eg. look how well my blog 4 Letter Noob ranks for the term "LLLL.com" and related terms like "LLLL.coms". It ranks well for "4 letter .com", "4 letter .coms", but that was alot harder to achieve). Good SEO is alot harder to achieve than those "SEO experts" wanting everyone to buy their ebooks would like people to believe... A good domain helps, but is absolutely not the solution to a poor SEO implementation.

I am not a big fan of dashes in general. I am even hesitant to take one dash. If it was e-m-a-i-l.com as Reece said it would have the value. The way it is structured just makes it look too awkward.

how do you "create SEO"?

People - registering a domain for the SEO value is only good if you understand how to implement good seo practices and build links...

Why does e-m-a-i-l.com have value and what value has it?

I have c-l-i-c-k-s.com and was just wondering do single hyphened w-o-r-d-s have much value?

I think the point was that it did not have value...and is back on the market again... ;) Love that domain tasting stuff... :)

There were two -- between the E and M.

The only value the name would have would be if you are getting constant traffic & revenue for the name. That would be, until Google changes their algorithm & you're name has no chance of ranking for SEO purposes.
