Definately read the site, make sure it is whithin the terms. Be sure you site is content rich ans has been updated quite a bit. Good design helps.

Keep in mind that one of the big gurus from Google actually looks over your site before they apply or deny it.

"Big Gurus" might be overstating it a bit :hehe: , but yeah, somebody will evaluate your site. Things to help yourself: 1) Don't have any ads on the pages already, 2) Have a directory oriented site with lots of original content.

Bad thing about that is that not only does Google take a share of every click but they will deduct a further amount for providing you the free blogging service (That is if you are using Blogger.com here?)

It's not that hard to get approved. Just make sure your site doesn't violate any of their ToS.

The main thing they bust my chops on usually is Ease of "Navigation" .... They don't want you to look "Clean and Simple" like they do ..... lol - No Sites with just a Searchbox ....

I like the "Clean" look on my index :D
