Hello Shayan,

The most important things that you should consider is the name should be short and easy to remember but also must be related to your business. This is must when you are going to make niche site for example gaming mouse.

Hello, Shayan karim. Before buying a domain, choose a short, memorable, and brand-relevant domain, check the history, choose a common suffix (such as .com), ensure that social media accounts are consistent, and confirm that the price is reasonable.

Consider why you are getting the name in the first place - investment, yourself as the end user, wanting to sell it, etc

If wanting to sell it, how many potential end users are there for that name? How will it provide real value for their business, so that they will be prepared to pay real cash for it? ALWAYS think from the customer's perspective rather than our own.

How is it better than what they have already got or would it be valuable to use in addition to what they already have? (eg .com where they have the .net, abbreviation or shorter version of their existing name, singular instead of their plural, exact match for their industry, existing traffic, search volume and CPC, etc)

Just as valid, if not more so, are what you shouldn't be thinking about.

For domain registrations
1. To not think you can make up a name for a few $ and expect someone to come along soon after and offer $0000 or more for it.

2. To not think you and only you have had the wisdom and intelligence to come up with a super duper, fabaroony, top notch name which is mysteriously available. Many millions of people have been steadily working for more or less 30 years to find great names that haven't been registered yet, so the chances of you doing so now is close to zero.

For buying an existing name
1. That you will be able to easily/reasonably get much more for the name than the price you paid.

2. Wanting domain buying/registrations to be your main or sole income.

3. Not having adequate money that you can afford to lose.

For both categories, not spending adequate time learning about what this sector is all about, learning from the mistakes of others and learning those tactics and strategies that others have found useful & profitable.

Stay away from anything that isn't a .com name.

Finally, domain names have long been in a declining availability swirl, much like real estate in desirable areas. Despite the rollercoaster hooha and endless mania about something "exploding" in the domain name world, it's almost all total BS and trickery, and designed to separate fools from their money. Don't be one of them.
