Before the .shop release i registred tons of domains with the intention of selling them. I became the owner of themortgage.shop

Mortages are always big business, themortgage.com redirects to 'Invis' Canada's Mortgage expert and of course there are many other companies in the mortgage market.

I was wondering what this community thinks about this domain name?

Hi Mike,
I like the name very much, it is good combo. Morgage providers and resellers are almost always big businesses, with lot of money. The name makes sence, it is memorable, and quite unique.

On the other side, it might be a quite a long shot imo, as from my experience I know that not many end users know about new gTLDs at the moment, so one needs to be patient. But it is good buy, and I would hold on it if that would be my domain. If you want to sell it, at the moment you would probably need to do some outbound. You might also want to decide to extend it for another 2-3 years, and wait, when the market would be more advanced (in case it is has no premium renewal attached to it).

As per appraisal, here I think you will get XX offers from most members, so not really worth trying to sell it here at the moment, unless you need a quick deal. But if you do outbound and some big company likes the name, the price will be limited only by your ability to show the company potential benefits. In name like that, patience is a key to extract most money of it

IMHO, this is a 'kerching' name. Google Mortgage shop. Multiple different companies trading as.
I think $10K, and I'd be willing to try and help you get that.
