To those who wonder why we don't like political threads here at NP, I wish I could show you the number of emails and messages I've received lately from members who are upset about it. Very few topics bring out emotions in the way politics does. Very few topics create such a divide amongst members. Heck, even me... if I posted my own personal feelings about this election and the parties involved... it would almost surely cause hard feelings among people I consider friends. Anyway...

This will be the one-and-only (OFFICIAL) thread on tonight's VP debate. Post away and enjoy it.

There is no question in my mind, Biden has waaaaaaaaay more credentials to run the country than Palin. That being politically.

We are in a no win situation here, Imo , Obama does not have the experience or credentials needed to run our country. McCain has the experience needed, but is much of the same as GWB. tack on his age + past medical problems + having Palin as his running mate = BAD

I want to see light at the end of the tunnel, but it is just not there.

We need another Ronald Reagan to suddenly appear. unfortunately, that is not going to happen for at least four more years. It is going to be a long four years either way this election goes, Imo

I was surprised that she made it all the way through, but if you saw the side shots of her, she was feverishly fumbling with her hands just trembling away behind the podium.

Sure Biden won the debate, but Palin hung in there and you have to give her credit for that. She pretty much made it clear that she wasn't going to respond to certain questions, but that's what you do when you don't know the answers.

I just read the October rolling stone article about McCain and how he has "Failed up" most of his life, and I guess that's what burns me about him. When I make a mistake or fail in life, I go down the ladder. McCain is like Bush in that they both have destroyed just about everything they we're put in charge of, yet they have both advanced in their careers.

When I see Sarah Palin, I think she would be fun to date, but beyond that, I couldn't really see her in charge of the country? GW didn't understand how to run things, do we really want another person who needs coaching in the white house?

In the end, Biden won the debate, but that was expected. I just wonder how "Middle Class" Palin really is, that seemed to be the focus of her message last night, that she's just like the rest of us suffering though this economy. I wonder if she really struggles with the thought of how she will put her kids through college? I wonder if she really sits around the table talking about how she's going to pay the bills like half of America.

Well, if she ever releases her financial statement (which should have been done last week) we'll get to see just how middle class she really is.

She very well could, But doing it our time, that isn't the answer, Nor is it the answer for Obama, Our economy is going fast. Thinking we will have people in office, that are in training so speak, Is not appealing.

Obama could possibly make a great President in 8 years, we do not have eight years.

I have voted in every election since i was age 18, And have been a strong Republican all my life. I can not vote in this election, I do not agree with either side in this election, I kept my hopes high that i would be able to agree with one side or the other, If that meant voting Democrat for the first time in my life, I was prepared to do so. That is the truth, about Obama going to get a lot of votes, just because the color of his skin. and it shows the ignorance of society.

It has amazed me how people just over look the fact that Obama has Muslim ties, Is of Muslim Heritage. But do not care.

Hell yes having the Muslim background makes a difference, It is not only radical Muslims that hate Americans, The religion calls for them to hate us, We are everything, They DO NOT believe in.

In all due respect to Muslims, I respect their religious rights, I do not agree with them, but respect their right to practice them.
