You’re also losing track who you’re supposed to be beating for things to count. You want to beat the Democrats in November. Electing MAGAS hurts your chances. You’re more concerned with beating non-Maga Republicans than Democrats. That’s stupid.
Buddha Check gets it, “more extreme candidates” instead of traditional conservative Republicans. So when it comes to national elections, it’ll be easier for Democrats to go against extreme candidates instead of ones independents may go for

So very gracious of you. Wrong, but gracious.

Once again I will respond to your accusations since you insist on making it personal. I claimed that BOTH parties are concerned about government surveillance, but cited a poll which shows that Republicans are less concerned.

When you try to support a claim by just adding certain selected data points that favor your claim, you're being disingenuous.

This is not my opinion. You make generalized claims without providing any evidence to support those claims. Essentially, polls are reflective of which party currently holds office.

I'm not going to fish through your post, but I clearly remember you having no problem with that. And now, though you have a problem with it because it was politically unwise and perhaps not the best move he could have made, you still haven't gone far enough. It was a strike at the very essence of basic human rights.

Is it a basic human right to allow foreign agents to interfere in other countries' politics?

ie. Much of the "gray" money used to support the Trucker Convoy in Ottawa were from US sources.

55% of trucker convoy crowd-funding donations came from the U.S.

The original GoFundMe campaign that supported the trucker convoy protests and occupation of Ottawa when it first began raised $10-million before getting shut down by the crowd-funding platform itself. The outcry over this from the likes of Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis prompted concerns in Canada about foreign interference in the movement to end pandemic public health restrictions, and in our democracy itself. One of the goals of the organizers of the Ottawa occupation is the removal of Justin Trudeau as Prime Minister.

I also said that I do not agree with vaccine mandates, but Biden continued the vaccine mandates for non-US citizens...

Currently 90% of truckers are vaccinated and working. This, from the Canadian Teamsters...

The Real Enemy for Truckers is Covid-19

Teamsters Canada is proud to represent over 55,000 professional drivers from diverse industries across the country, approximately 15,000 of which are long haul truck drivers, 90% of whom are vaccinated.

The so-called “freedom convoy” and the despicable display of hate lead by the political Right and shamefully encouraged by elected conservative politicians does not reflect the values of Teamsters Canada, nor the vast majority of our members, and in fact has served to delegitimize the real concerns of most truck drivers today.

We firmly believe in the right to protest government policies and voice a wide array of opinions, but what is happening in Ottawa has done more harm to Teamsters members, be they Truck Drivers who were trying to deliver their loads, or hotel, restaurant and healthcare workers who were intimidated, abused or prevented from accessing their workplaces, by several protesters.

Teamsters Canada would welcome collaboration with government and employers to address today’s real challenges in the trucking industry to keep the supply chain going and Canada’s economy growing.

We join in the calls urging those protesters with legitimate concerns to go back to their own communities and work with local politicians. We are all frustrated and want our lives back, however, let’s ensure we get there respectfully, safely and protect the health of our most vulnerable first.

and this from the American Teamsters...

TEAMSTERS DENOUNCE FREEDOM CONVOY BLOCKADE AT CANADIAN BORDER

The following is the official statement of Teamsters General President Jim Hoffa regarding the ongoing blockade by the Freedom Convoy protest at the United States-Canada border.

“The Teamsters Union denounces the ongoing Freedom Convoy protest at the Canadian border that continues to hurt workers and negatively impact our economy. The livelihood of working Americans and Canadians in the automotive, agricultural, and manufacturing sectors is threatened by this blockade.

“Our economy is growing under the Biden Administration, and this disruption in international trade threatens to derail the gains we have made. Our members are some of the hardest workers in the country and are being prevented from doing their jobs. The Teamsters call on the organizers of this action to end this protest and instead, engage in meaningful political discourse with the Canadian government to find a solution.”

I also stated that it has been recently revealed that Russian agents and US far-right influences have set up fake accounts on social media to spread disinformation and misinformation to stoke division in Canada...

DECISION MAKING& NATIONAL UNITY UNDER THREAT: Foreign Interference, Cognitive Sovereignty, and the Alberta Referendum

According to statements by leaders of Alberta’s separatist movement, they have been received by senior U.S. officials on at least three occasions since the inauguration of Donald Trump, who has repeatedly expressed interest in annexing Canada. One movement leader claimed in a late December 2025 interview to have met with "senior officials at the top of the State Department" — people who "go straight to the Oval Office" .

These meetings and statements do not appear to be isolated incidents. A directive issued by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio instructed American embassies and consulates worldwide to engage more actively in influence operations 32 — including in coordination with the US military's psychological operations capabilities — calling for the elevation of "local voices who support American interests" and the recruitment of "local influencers, academics and community leaders abroad," an approach explicitly designed to make American-funded narratives appear locally organic rather than centrally directed.

Beyond its actual operational impact, the directive's existence undermines Canada's democracy by casting doubt on the authenticity of any voice —online or in person — debating Alberta's place in Confederation.

On all sides, Americans have been primed to surrender their basic rights over the past decades. And so have Canadians.

Trump withdrew US from the UN Human Rights commission...

President Trump signed an Executive Order withdrawing the United States from the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) and prohibiting any future funding for the UN Relief and Works Agency for the Near East (UNRWA).

Furthermore, I also cited a nation-wide petition that has called for government investigation into Trump administration's interference in the Canadian political sphere, specifically Alberta's referendum on separation...

A national petition states...

We, the undersigned, People of Canada, call upon the House of Commons in Parliament assembled to invoke its authority under Section 53 of the Supreme Court Act to refer the constitutionality of Alberta’s Justice Statutes Amendment Act, 2025 to the Supreme Court of Canada, and to direct the Foreign Influence Transparency Commissioner to immediately investigate the meetings between the Alberta Prosperity Project and the Trump administration.

The Alberta Prosperity Project is seeking $500B in loans from the US government.

@Domainace, should you continue personal attacks I will report it to the NP's moderator.

Biden issued Executive Orders to protect Americans' data...

FACT SHEET: President Biden Issues Executive Order to Protect Americans’ Sensitive Personal Data

The Administration will continue its engagements with stakeholders, including technology companies and advocates for privacy, safety, competition, labor, and human rights, to move forward in a way that appropriately balances all these objectives.

The President has encouraged the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to consider taking steps, consistent with CFPB’s existing legal authorities, to protect Americans from data brokers that are illegally assembling and selling extremely sensitive data, including that of U.S. military personnel.

Trump admistration plans to collect data on US citizens...

The Trump Administration Is Using Americans’ Sensitive Data To Build a Digital Watchtower

Increasingly, the Trump administration is testing the boundaries of how the federal government can reuse personal information. These practices often begin with politically targeted groups, allowing federal agencies to test their technical capabilities and legal justifications with minimal pushback. But once those systems and practices are in place, the scope of data sharing quietly expands, leaving everyone vulnerable.

The aggressive push toward centralization is led by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), whose efforts to consolidate personal records from agencies began under the pretext of fraud prevention. That effort has since evolved into something far more expansive, with a broader goal now taking shape: the creation of massive, centralized databases of agency-held personal information. While the Trump administration has justified and framed both of these practices as harmless or even helpful, they represent a shift away from long-standing limits on how personal information can be used by federal agencies.

To prevent future abuse, federal privacy law should be updated to further prohibit agencies and government officials from knowingly entering, altering, or reclassifying records using false or misleading information about an individual. These violations should carry both civil and criminal penalties to ensure meaningful accountability. Creating a record-focused criminal provision would send a clear signal that altering federal records to the detriment of individuals is not only improper but also illegal.
