That said, I think any US Olympic team member who does turn away in protest at events like these should be immediately removed from the team. If they can't show a minimum amount of gratitude and respect for the nation and taxpayers who are funding them, and who they are representing, they shouldn't be there. Why would they even want to be? It's hypocrisy. No nation with an ounce of self-respect would tolerate that. And there are plenty of also-rans in the wings who would be happy to take their place.

If you don't like the country, leave. I did. Instead they hang around and leech off of it and whine all day long, like noisy parasites.
