Relevant to US politics because of the obsequiousness of this administration and the GOP to everything Putin.

This is a worldview created by fake news. Any analysis of the past 10 years shows Obama bending over backwards for Russian, while Trump has been pretty much the opposite. I think it was Obama who ridiculed Romney for calling Russian a threat. Obama who cut off arms to Ukraine. Obama who whispered to the Russians "wait until after the election" and then allowed Putin to do as he pleased.

Trump, despite reasonably seeking peace and cooperation with Russia, has been pretty much the opposite. I think the Russians might be happy to se the easily bought off Dems back in charge.
