This is what a real hero looks like. What real bravery looks like.

Warrant Officer Hugh Thompson
A 25-year-old Army warrant officer and helicopter pilot from Georgia, Thompson risked everything, including his life, to stop fellow soldiers from slaughtering Vietnamese civilians.

Thompson, flying over My Lai with his two-man crew in an observation helicopter, repeatedly landed to confront superior officers and other soldiers engaged in the massacre. He repeatedly reported it over the radio and again in person when he returned to base camp. What was supposed to be a several-day mission and could have resulted in thousands more deaths, was called off.

For years his heroic acts brought him disdain and hostility. It โ€œbroke Hughโ€™s heart,โ€ his gunner, Lawrence Colburn recalled. But it didnโ€™t break his will.

Over the course of two years of hearings on My Lai, Thompson told the truth โ€œdespite peer pressure, ostracism, threats of prosecution and a nationally televised congressional browbeating,โ€ according to the Armyโ€™s chief prosecutor.

Thompson continued to fly observation missions in Vietnam, despite suspicions heโ€™d been assigned missions purposely to get him killed. He was hit by enemy fire a total of eight times and in a final crash after his helicopter was brought down by enemy machine-gun fire, he broke his back.

In 1998, the Army did an about-face. Thompson and his crew were awarded the Soldierโ€™s Medal in a ceremony near the Vietnam Memorial.
He deserves a picture in the hottest thread of Namepros...

Supreme Court kills Trump's plan to deny asylum to every illegal who enters between official border crossings as Chief Justice Roberts sides with liberals - and Bader Ginsburg votes from her hospital bed
  • 5-4 ruling pitted four liberal judges against four conservatives, with Roberts breaking the tie
  • Brett Kavanaugh sided with the administration but the majority refused to allow the president to deny some asylum seekers the chance to apply
  • Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg voted from her hospital bed, where she was recovering from surgery to remove cancerous nodes from her lungs
  • Trump's executive order had limited asylum applications to only people who came in at official border crossings
  • A lower court judge's injunction will now stay in force while a lawsuit plays out
  • That judge drew Trump's ire last month; he called him an 'Obama judge'
  • Roberts rebuked the president publicly, insisting that there are no 'Obama judges' or 'Trump judges' โ€“ only an independent judiciary

You notice Gilsan just mentioned Fake News? That's a fake headline he just posted here:

That second one is a fake headline. You might not want to spread it.

Trolls are out in force spreading fake news that in April I wrote an article headlined: โ€œTrump canโ€™t do anything right. We donโ€™t need troops in Syria.โ€ The actual headline: โ€œTrump thinks we can replace U.S. forces in Syria with Arab troops. Heโ€™s wrong.โ€

So you have Russian troll armies, taking advantage of dumb people like Gilsan in helping them spread actual Fake News. Many times he's done this.

Problem with that gofundme:
You CAN donate money to the government..
But donors have no say in how it is spent. It goes into a general fund. Congress decides how itโ€™s allocated.
WOW... so many excuses against the man behind the #GoFundMeForTheWall - Airman Brian Kolfage... Purple Heart Recipient, triple amputee veteran.... He also deserves a picture in this thread!!!

Ruth Bader Ginsburg voted from her hospital bed,

Interesting. Supreme court deep thinkers can vote semi capacitated while in the Hospital, but the Congress lessor thinkers can ignore their job or have to fly back maybe in private jets in order to vote. Did the Judicial branch get a special approval or was that written into the rules?

I see Corker and Flake both got to grandstand this afternoon too.

โ€œWashington dedicates a large part of his farewell address to discussing foreign relations and the dangers of permanent alliances between the United States and foreign nations, which he views as foreign entanglements.โ€

โ€œWashington advocates a policy of good faith and justice towards all nations, again making reference to proper behavior based upon religious doctrine and morality. He urges the American people to avoid long-term friendly relations or rivalries with any nation, arguing that attachments with or animosity toward other nations will only cloud the government's judgment in its foreign policy. He argues that longstanding poor relations will only lead to unnecessary wars due to a tendency to blow minor offenses out of proportion when committed by nations viewed as enemies of the United States. He continues this argument by claiming that alliances are likely to draw the United States into wars which have no justification and no benefit to the country beyond simply defending the favored nation. Alliances, he warns, often lead to poor relations with nations who feel that they are not being treated as well as America's allies, and threaten to influence the American government into making decisions based upon the will of their allies instead of the will of the American people.

Citizen Genรชt was the French minister who interfered in U.S. politics
Washington makes an extended reference to the dangers of foreign nations who will seek to influence the American people and government; nations who may be considered friendly as well as nations considered enemies will equally try to influence the government to do their will. "Real patriots", he warns, who "resist the intrigues" of foreign nations may find themselves "suspected and odious" in the eyes of others, yet he urges the people to stand firm against such influences all the same.โ€

Oh yes, that would be horrible. Friendly relations with any nation. lol

Are you aware of what year it is and things are different now?

Are you aware of what year it is and things are different now

You laugh at the warnings George Washington? How about Eisenhower? Its come to pass his warning.

Different now? You donโ€™t think Atilla the Hun was a โ€œterroristโ€? He was what 1300 years before Washington? Or how about POS Belgian Leopold in the Congo?

I will repeat this. People have fought wars 1000โ€™s of years for only 2 basic objectives: covenance or conversion. Punto. Nothing else.

Tangling up in other nations inter cultural wars like the ME from moronic Bush brain trust and global banking, miltary industrial cabal did to the US is just as relevant today as then.

These โ€œmodernโ€ globalist groups like the Council on Foreign Relations, UN, NATO, OECD, World Bank, IMF, Unesco, etc. are all bureaucratic self interest and self perpetuated of either putting poorer nations into monetary debt or wealth transfer from Developed to undeveloped nations.

These modern โ€œcolonizationsโ€ have been a disaster in lives lost, injuries and financially.

No, I'm laughing at you. Avoiding friendly relations with nations, get a grip. Control of resources, you left that out.

And your constant issue with people who have government jobs, based on some personal past bad experience? That's a little silly as well.

Explain to me how friendly relations with nations is a bad thing. You want unfriendly or I'm guessing you like that Isolationist stuff Trump is serving up.

Then I thought, conspiracy types don't trust Freemasons?
