Tools will tell you it was routine to wipe the phones, what they ignore is both owners where under investigation by the IG and the phones should have been preserved as evidence.

Oh - you’re a cybersecutiry expert now? Or an expert on government investigations and law?

You don’t need physical devices if the data was collected properly. That was assumed to be the case. And even before they were wiped, who knows what was deleted? Forensics can retrieve a lot but depends on how and where the subsequent data was written. A snapshot or log taken at a point in time is more reliable.

Also, logs would be on servers under central IT / infosec control whereas local device data could potentially be tampered with.

Here’s a nice conservative publication saying essentially what I posted earlier.

If someone finds a "gay gene", will progressives appose abortion of gay babies but **still encourage abortion of people with Downs Syndrome?
Hahaha... good question... I wonder if you'll get an answer from Liberals.

No. Neither are you

Actually I was in my corporate years. I was a senior info security specialist for a large financial institution. Served on incident response and disaster recovery teams. Incident response is the group that sees that security incidents are handled properly. That includes knowing how to preserve evidence and maintain a chain of custody.
I’ve been out of that rat race for a while now, but I still keep up on it. Details and technology have changed, basic best practices have not..

Australian government will recognize West Jerusalem the capital of Israel.
So will Brazil's Jair Bolsonaro once he takes office in January 2019. All it needed was someone will big cojones (Trump) for others to follow suit.

I know there's another East European country (can't remember which) that's gonna do the same!

After Relentless Defense of Khashoggi, Turkey Named World’s Worst Jailer of Journalists

The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) published its annual report on imprisoned journalists on Thursday, and perennial champion Turkey once again leads the league although competition for the title of world’s worst persecutor of the press was distressingly vigorous.
CPJ noted the past three years featured the highest number of imprisoned journalists since the organization began keeping score. “Turkey, China, and Egypt were responsible for more than half of those jailed around the world for the third year in a row,” the report observed.

But if the plan was to abolish ObamaCare we would expect him to come up with something else (doesn't have to be Govt intervention).

You mean like going back to the Free Market system, the way it should be. No socialized wealth transfer program where the middle class subsidize the poor. Your ability to pay = your standard of care. If you are high risk, then high premiums your employer or you pay. Not the rest of the taxpayers. This isn’t the EU. Healthcare isn’t a free entitlement, unless you believe in Bernie Sanders Cortez.

It's going to happen one day, Universal, Medicare For All, something along those lines. There is already support for it from both parties and it'll just continue to grow.

Majority of Republicans supports 'Medicare for all,' poll finds

I like his “Google is Evil” spectacle and bringing this censorship to the net. Nice. What he is doing is great exposing this tech mess.

Glad I am not there, I won’t be paying into it, you will. Lol.

98% of people want free stuff too. Free medivac flights for illegal aliens too, that cost $50,000. too. The US is Circling the drain.

How many countries have universal health care?
Developed Countries With Universal Health Care. Out of the 33 developed countries, 32 have universal health care. They adopt one of the following three models. In a single-payer system, the government taxes its citizens to pay for health care.

United States is the only one that doesn't. And it's not free.

I used to have Blue Shaft insurance, they were all across the states. But it was getting expensive, that was over 10 years ago. Now I am required by law to pay into socialized medicine though never ever use it. Its cheap though. Instead, I pay a fraction of US pricing for dental and excellent medical care in private, first class hospitals. Many North Americans travel for quality medical tourism btw.

Wait, so that seems better. So you're talking about South America? It's socialized but cheaper and better than America?

Am I reading it wrong or something? At first you were saying you were glad you're not in America if they were going to go that route, then followed up with (it looks like) saying how great it is.

No, read what I wrote. I don’t use socialized, its not good for me, not good for everyone, but great if you are poor. They make you wait in long lines, 6 mo appts, etc. I pay for private, 1st class care, so do many. Wages are 10% of US, so more for your $$$. I walk a few blocks and get blood tests, Xrays, etc for $60, instant results in a couple hours via email.

Why is that, a better system down there? Then you see the point you made about North Americans having to travel? Shouldn't have to do that, so obviously things can be better here.
