So FAUX news used a photo of the Eagles kneeling in prayer before a game to imply that they were kneeling during the national anthem (which none of them have done this season.)

Which begs the question:

It's considered very respectful to kneel in prayer.
So why do some consider it disrespectful to kneel during the national anthem?
How does something that's a gesture of respect and humility in a house of worship get interpreted as disrespect if done during a song?

Texting their friends or dropping their pants would be disrespectful. Haven't seen anyone do that yet.
