WaPo story this is based on was wrong, didn't count all deaths, mostly because the Pentagon hadn't released them ( as I remember ). Also, does it matter if you die by a bomb, a bullet or a crash in a war ?

Chicago: strict gun laws, 189 homicides, 900+ people shot in 2018.

Indiana: few gun laws, much higher gun ownership, less than 50 in 2018.

We need to get away from blaming guns. Anti-#2A people need to stop lying so we can deal with the real problems.

When anyone suggest more secure schools, the left's mocks them. But every lying liberal making the rounds at anti-gun rallies has armed security.

More secure schools would be a great place to start. Bulletproof glass. Reinforced doors, etc. In the event of an incident, the kids and teachers should be able to shelter in place in relative safety until they can escape.

However getting rid of all but one or two doors, as that TX Lt governor suggested, wins the stupid award of the weekend. What if thereโ€™s a fire? Not to mention, the shooter could stay outside and pick off victims as they come out.

ICYMI - shooters first victim (or one of the first) was his ex girlfriend.

We should secure schools but...Everything before the but is bullshit. Take his wider comment, we need to design, update schools with security first. You should visit an inner-city school and see how many entrance they leave unlocked.

** first victim was a teacher shot in the arm and chest.

** shooter isn't a nazi. He is 17 year old dope with an iron cross, a hammer and sickle, hydra and gay pride pins.

Your point?

Inner city schools have a lot of issues, including older buildings and lack of funding to retrofit anything to improve safety. Interesting that these shootings primarily havenโ€™t been taking place in inner city schools though...

You canโ€™t lock fire exits.

I donโ€™t gaf what the kid wore or who he admired - he killed 10 people. This is crazy and those thoughts and prayers arenโ€™t working - how do we prevent the next one?

JJ Watt is a good, person. I donโ€™t know where he stands politically and I donโ€™t care. Heโ€™s been financially fortunate and heโ€™s sharing some to help fellow Texans in a time of need. He sets a good example.

All these messed up kids playing violent video games and watching violent movies need to go outside and look up at the stars for a long long time.

This killer was using these Pins on his trench coat:

As well as a Bisexual Pride Pin on his cap.

Time to stop all the Liberal indoctrination in schools... it's messing up what still remains of their brain cells

I love this guy, cuts right through the political b/s.

Why should court-houses, sports stadiums be safer than schools.

Fire exits are unlocked from the inside...

You called him a NAZI, was that just an opportunity to attack President Trump?

Just a periodic reminder that elected officials in this country are fair game for criticism by anyone and are not above the law. This is not North Korea, we do not swear unwavering allegiance to a Dear Leader.

Historic note: one of the first things Putin did when he took power was get rid of the two largest media networks - both independent media - in the country

Seattle city council, lead by a communist, passed a tax of $500 per employee on companies making >= $20 mil.

After Amazon stop construction on their new west coast HQ, city council accused Amazon of extortion but lowered the tax to $250.
--

City of Seattle makes it very hard to build new multi family homes. Blames the housing shortage on successful businesses hiring too many people.

Does this make the situation worse or better?
