You mean like this:

Enlytend: Read this "fake news" report about how conservatives spread more fake news.
Kate: I hate America
EPromote: Everybody that disagrees with me is an idiot
JB: Do you believe in dinosaurs?

Good grief!

I went over why I asked that. Usually the people that don't believe they existed, tend to be Republicans/religious types, wanted to see how far you were gone. At least you know they existed. But then there is gullibility. When I was reading the Bikini Tara thread yesterday, there you were saying how this person was real. So you got fooled by a basic, male, internet marketer telling wild stories, using fake bikini pics. You got fooled by a bikini pic.

Reading some of the new posts today, more of the same. Anti-university, anti-education type posts.

People posting up videos from Prager U, using 2 so called scientists, both bought and paid for by fossil fuel companies. At least they were smart enough to get paid, the fossil fuel companies have you guys working for free posting nonsense.

I even linked to an article on the tactics used by the tobacco industry, one of the things talking about how it's the same tactics used by the fossil fuel companies and here you guys are eating it up.

A distributed power system based on solar, wind and chemical reaction could replace our massive power-grid with substantial savings.

And who is President? Mr. beautiful, clean, coal.

Good think you're a progressive or people might think you're just another bigoted know-it-all.

I'm just not gullible. Again, a guy using the satire site The Onion. It doesn't take a know it all to figure that one out. And then here you are, posting up Fossil Fuel company talking points. If in some way this makes you check your sources next time, read a little more, then some good has come out of it.

Huh.. I thought a smart person would understand an onion post mocking political extremism.

You posted it thinking it was a real story, real news. Secret Government Society nonsense.

As far as all the climate discussion, it's going to be an issue we'll have to agree to disagree on. I think the people that know it's true, aren't going to suddenly throw out reality, science, facts etc. because some people throw up some links to climate denier blogs, some written by paid off scientists who aren't even climatologists.

I was only joking about the dinosaur thing, because it made me laugh last night when Mr.X wrote it.

But then there is gullibility. When I was reading the Bikini Tara thread yesterday, there you were saying how this person was real. So you got fooled by a basic, male, internet marketer telling wild stories, using fake bikini pics. You got fooled by a bikini pic.

He/She is real, as I have purchased quite a few domains from her/him. I don't give a rats ass if he/she wants to post a picture of a big ass in a bikini. Not sure why you do? It would be like me reporting you to mods because your not Michael Corleone or Darth Vader. It's ridiculous all that you made of that whole scene.
Eric has better things to do, then argue with you about a bikini avatar. The whole thing was bizarre!
I know he/she may have recently not delivered some purchased domains, so maybe he/she isn't so innocent. But I assure you, I wasn't fooled by anything, as it just never mattered to me if you are Tara Hunter, Toochi Kash or some dude pretending to be big ass bikini girl.

Reading some of the new posts today, more of the same. Anti-university, anti-education type posts.

I'm far from anti-university, anti education, just keep your liberal brainwashing politics out of my kids classroom unless you're teaching a Political Science class!

People posting up videos from Prager U, using 2 so called scientists, both bought and paid for by fossil fuel companies. At least they were smart enough to get paid, the fossil fuel companies have you guys working for free posting nonsense.

I'm done arguing with you about global warming, check back with me in 260 years when the global temperature goes up another 3 degrees!

Eric has better things to do, then argue with you about a bikini avatar.

That just shows what I'm taking about. You don't read. It wasn't about the avatar, it was about some fraudster here at NP. It was clearly shown and now look at the result. Somebody got took. It should have been handled months ago. Then we have another thread of somebody trying to sell a name they don't own, Deal.com and they get restricted, an infraction. Should have been straight ban.

But I assure you, I wasn't fooled by anything, as it just never mattered to me if you are Tara Hunter, Toochi Kash or some dude pretending to be big ass bikini girl.

I bought a few domains from Tara a few months ago and much like you Grilled, was doing my due diligence (bikini pictures have that effect on me!) and as someone who used to live and work as a real estate broker in the Tampa Bay area, I was intrigued, so after my semi thorough research, found that Tara is indeed, the real deal and is indeed a bikini wearing domainer, super model, business mogul extraordinaire! She's a terrific writer too! :xf.wink:

It as an internet marketer, a guy you were flirting with.

I'm done arguing with you about global warming, check back with me in 260 years when the global temperature goes up another 3 degrees!

Good, like I said, we're not going to agree on this. I'm not going to be a sucker and believe fossil fuel company talking points. Just like I wouldn't believe some tobacco scientist saying, nah, cigarette smoking isn't harmful to your health.

@enlytend Did you research the authors first? I usually don't care to dig deep when I see a biased study, it's self evident, but since you are so insistent I don't read or pay attention I have done so.

Mathematical modeling ? Polls? they all are guesstimates anyway. At the origin. The Authors politics are mixed in. They are not some unbiased reporters, this is slanted just like I stated before- an agenda, free publicity for more $$$$ to fund this pseudo-science.

Ok, so here is the main author:

https://www.oii. ox. ac.uk/people/dr-vidya-narayanan/
https://uk.linkedin. com/in/vidya-narayanan-a82aa94 appears on her resume she cannot hold a real job in private industry (Probably excuse is she is female), evidently prefers being an academic.

https://www. ft. com/content/fbf8ab4c-e41d-11e7-97e2-916d4fbac0da and she says Brexit was fixed. But says the Russian's had time to prepare to mess with the US election. lol.

Vidya Narayanan, a researcher at the Oxford Internet Instituteโ€™s computational propaganda project, said that its report showed there was no โ€œsignificant Russian activityโ€. She suggested one reason might be that, unlike the US presidential election, Russia did not have much time to prepare for the Brexit referendum.

"Fake news โ€” or what the researchers call โ€˜junk newsโ€™ โ€” may have had far more influence on the Brexit referendum, Ms Narayanan argued."

He seems to think statistical extrapolation is fine.

"While data requirements for RDS analysis are minimal"

http://www. respondentdrivensampling .org/

Respondent-driven sampling (RDS), combines "snowball sampling" (getting individuals to refer those they know, these individuals in turn refer those they know and so on) with a mathematical model that weights the sample to compensate for the fact that the sample was collected in a non-random way.

" RDS represents an advance in sampling methodology because it resolves what had previously been an intractable dilemma, a dilemma that is especially severe when sampling hard-to-reach groups, that is, groups that are small relative to the general population, and for which no exhaustive list of population members is available. This includes groups relevant to public health, such as drug injectors, prostitutes, and gay men, groups relevant to public policy such as street youth and the homeless, and groups relevant to arts and culture such as jazz musicians and other performance and expressive artists."

RDS has also been used by the CDCโ€™s Global AIDS Program to study injection drug users (IDUs) in Bangkok and IDUs and prostitutes in Vietnam, and it has been used by Family Health International, the largest non-profit agency in international public health, in more than a dozen countries, including Bangladesh, Burma, Cambodia, Egypt, Honduras, India, Kosovo, Mexico, Nepal, Vietnam, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea and Russia to study gay men, IDUs and prostitutes. Consequently, though less than a decade old, it has been more than fifteen countries.

her first 10 seconds she states "we don't know what we are talking about" "Brexit happened", "Donald Trump happened".... hmmm no bias. I cant watch more than 30 seconds. Trump hater.

Great study. LOL. Limited data, major extrapolation, we will use math to prove our point about public opinion, and best of all, we need more grant money to further our endeavors of nonsense and academic waste.

wow JB, if you can't tell I was writing tongue in cheek, then you're the gullible one. See where I said she's a terrific writer and then use a winking emoji, that would be called sarcasm! Every domain I purchased from him/her was registered to a Tara Hunter of Tampa!

Just like I wouldn't believe some tobacco scientist saying, nah, cigarette smoking isn't harmful to your health.

Why on earth, you keep comparing global warming to the dangers of cigarette smoking is beyond me?

It's like your trying to tell the readers that we are so stupid to Not Believe in Global Warming that we must believe that cigarette smoking is not harmful to your health. It's a little strange as you've done this a few times now?

Same tactics used. We have 97% of scientists saying it's real, you go with the paid off by fossil fuel company scientists, who aren't even climatologists. You literally use the same talking points as fossil fuel companies. Again, at least these guys are getting paid. You're posting up their talking points for free.

This stat is a strong narrative but untrue.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/alexep...e-scientists-agree-is-100-wrong/#698976d63f9f

Never a survey, just a number extrapolated from a selection of publications.

Yet again, proving my point.

"He is the founder and president of the Center for Industrial Progress, a for-profit think tank located in San Diego, California.[3][4] Epstein is also the New York Times bestselling author[5] of The Moral Case for Fossil Fuels (2014), in which he advocates the use of fossil fuels like coal, oil and natural gas, for which he has been criticized"

The author - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alex_Epstein_(American_writer)

How many times do we need to go thru this? Read up on who writes these articles.

And your issue with that is what? It's called Capitalism. There is a market for it, so they're offering up those products.

Wow! Talk about stirring the pot.... This would be interesting... if it were true. Don't believe everything you read. Especially from far right wing media (and far left, for that matter). The article is full of half-truths and fantasy.
So... since you know the truth tell us about those little angels; Lisa Bloom and her mother Gloria Allred.

I'll pass. I doubt it would sway you anyway. Just know that much of what you read is sensationalized in order to get clicks. It's like "reality tv". There's little that's real about it.
