The MSM doesn't explain these facts or what Trump is doing to help PR. All they do is invent negative stories to demonize Trump and get their lefties all worked up.

It seems political narrative is more important than truth to most of media.

While DNC whines about Russia!!

Chinaโ€™s โ€˜Magic Weaponsโ€™: Influence Operations Subverting Foreign Governments
Report says Beijing sharply increases overseas efforts to sway governments under Xi Jinping

http://freebeacon.com/national-secu...ce-operations-subverting-foreign-governments/
And that's just one story of the foreign influence China is exerting around the world.

They started about 30-35 years ago by going to Africa by bribing the local leaders with all kinds of gifts like building them palaces, opening Swiss Banks accounts for them with a hefty sum of money, free trips to all over the world and in exchange got fabulous contracts for exploring mines, oil fields, agricultural projects, construction of railways, dams, schools, roads, buildings and other infrastructure.

The Chinese would then send thousands of engineers and construction workers to Africa to build these projects. The vast majority of materials like steel, bricks, cement, electrical wiring and fixtures etc. all came from China.

They even sent cooks, chefs and Chinese food from China to feed the enormous quantity of Chinese workers in these projects, who didn't appreciate any other food except theirs.

The local African population would complain that a very tiny % of jobs were reserved for them and those were always the worst, dirtiest and most dangerous.

When the local population complained to the local leaders (that had been bribed by the Chinese) they were told to keep quiet or else...

The Chinese were very smart to the point of suggesting to the leaders they had bribed, that they (Chinese) would build Soccer stadiums for the population for free, to keep the population happy. A small price to pay to try and keep a good part of the population and all their leaders happy.

Another thing is, that a lot of their infrastructure projects were done using shoddy materials, resulting in some buildings becoming uninhabitable because of the danger they represented, roads getting damaged soon after being constructed, because they used a very thin layer of tar, mines and oil field production not giving a sh*it about environmental pollution, etc. etc.

And that's just Africa. The Chinese are all over the world and their economic + political + military influence is growing all the time... much more than the Russians, that the MSM and Liberals are obsessing about.

But I'm sure the MSM will someday in the future will suddenly discover that China is actually the Elepha... I mean Dragon in the room and it's breathing a lot of fire.

Anyone besides me think college athletes should be able to accept endorsements? Coaches, schools make millions from them, why not just pay the player in an honest transaction.

I blocked a certain person here because (among other things) he thought it was funny to direct radiation jokes at me shortly after the Fukushima tsunami and nuclear power plant disaster. Funny ol' liberals....
I wonder if he's the same "not so funny ol' liberal" that I blocked a couple years ago?

NFL brass must be getting worried.
Steelers owner Art Rooney II sent out a letter to fans on Monday explaining the disrespectful actions.. but not apologizing.

To Steelers Nation:

I want to reach out to you, the members of Steelers Nation, based on what I believe is a misperception about our playersโ€™ intentions in not taking the field for the National Anthem in Chicago. The intentions of Steelers players were to stay out of the business of making political statements by not taking the field. Unfortunately, that was interpreted as a boycott of the anthem โ€“ which was never our playersโ€™ intention.

Our players come from many different backgrounds and are united by what it means to play for the Pittsburgh Steelers. They are active in their communities and participate regularly in events designed to give back to those communities. And they appreciate the support they get from Steelers fans around the country and here at home.
I also know that our players have tremendous respect for the members of our military services, including their teammate Alejandro Villanueva. There was never any desire on the part of our players to show disrespect for our service members.

Yesterday, I received an email from a Steelers fan who said tell the players to just play football. That is exactly what they wanted to do. They wanted their sole focus to be on playing the game, while also coming together as a unified team.

The main thing we can do is learn from this and strive to come together remaining unified as a football team. I believe we are capable of accomplishing this with the support of our fans.
Steelers Nation is made up of the best fans in the National Football League. We appreciate your continued support of our players, coaches and staff.

Sincerely,

Art Rooney, II

Its because 99.x percent of college athletes are not at an endorsement level. All scholarship athletes are completely taken care of for four years.

Its totally against the reason they are welcomed to play at the school

and this is about paying a kid to pick a school or agent

If you have the skills, you should be free to make a living from them. 99% of Athletes aren't good enough for a scholarship either.

Most kids go home with a participation trophy.. that doesn't mean they don't benefit from playing. Winning requires hard work.

Even Usain Bolt stopped the interview to show respect to the U.S. national anthem...

No no no lol All those athletes that get scholarships earn them. The football and basketball teams pay for the archery, lacrosse marching band cheerleading etc, the things that make intercollegiate competition a holistic part of the whole student body experience.

Basketball and football players now have more relaxed rules where they can drop out and go pro, or in the case of Lebron James go straight from High School to the pros. (we are talking the tiniest amount of players.)

So you think it's legit for the school to profit from an athlete but not the athlete, who could easily pay for his own education with an endorsement.
