1. Yes, the history of crimea shows that it isn't 100% if it belongs to Russia or Ukraine. However, in the recent times it belonged to the Ukraine. If you were born in Crimea, then you were born a ukrainian citizen. You can't just choose your nationality. Nationality is what you are born as, if you like it or not. I can't just say "I am English now cuz I like them more than germans".
...Like if Germanys WW2 past is all they teach you, as if the last 1000 years of Germanys history don't exist.
Nationality is chosen around the world. This is not even debatable. Nation states have a very short history, and several of them do not reflect the reality of their demographics, especially former colonies that were divided with zero regard for language, culture and ethnicity. Crimea was handed to Ukraine by a dictator. The people had no say in it. Then, finally, they get to vote on it and reject Ukrainian nationality. And you think they should be forced at gunpoint to be Ukrainian.
And, by the way, Germany doesn't have 1000 years of history. Germany was formed 150 years ago. We could of course include Prussia, but Prussia encompassed parts of Poland, Russia, Lithuania, Denmark, Belgium and the Czech Republic. Which brings us back to your point of "You can't just choose your nationality. Nationality is what you are born as, if you like it or not." Apparently, these people all chose not to be Prussian/German, though many were born that way. Maybe that explains your dislike of Crimean free will?
You mention that you haven't urged for war with Russia. Yet, you are parroting the rhetoric of US politicians that is priming the public for a war, one that could be started by the no-fly zones Clinton proposes.
Putin is a dictator. Full Stop. You tolerate Russias recent actions that endanger the sovereignity of a country. Full Stop. That makes you a Dictator loving fanatic. Full Stop.
Sorry, but the use of "full stop" (or its closely related cousins "'nuff saud" and the gesticular "drop the mike") are the rhetorical version of putting your hands over your ears and screaming "I can't hear you, nyah, nyah!" And it certainly doesn't make a non-sequitur like the above any more logical or defensible.
