To be fair, people are pretty clueless everywhere. Sadly. Also, I think it's time to get past the 9/11 worship cult - I'm sick of hearing about it as though it's the defining tragedy of the century.

Yes, it woke Americans up to the fact that some people wanted to indiscriminately kill them. But what did we learn from it? Seems to me that the lesson most people took home was that they should surrender their rights to an all powerful government. 9/11 is one big propaganda tool. Who gives a crap if people don't remember Bin Laden's name. Why should they? He deserves to be forgotten, not remembered.
