I think it was the Democrats who just mandated bathroom gender standards across the board. They are way ahead of the Republicans in that regard, though the Republicans now are only marginally better.
Trump has managed to separate the Republicans from their pandering to Bible-thumpers. To me, that means the rebirth of the party, not the death of it.

BTW, there is quite a gulf between letting businesses run amok and letting businesses run. Government running amok, however..

Like I said, at least one good thing came out of all this. I mentioned the same thing earlier, less Christian Right in this election.

Rebirth vs. death, we'll see. I think more of a separation. While I like that Trump isn't some Bible Thumper, these other issues, if the Republicans go along with him on, will hurt the party. Walls, mass deportation, blocking religions, all his other issues are a problem. It's why many Republicans just can't get on that train.

Tackle my example. Tell me how a politician is more qualified than a scientist on climate change. You can't. So just resort to liberal name calling instead.
