Um...because I was born and raised there, I travel, and have friends, business and family there? But that's not American enough for you? Your attitude basically confines you to talking about whatever small town you live in. May as well close down the thread, since nobody can talk about anything anywhere outside a 500 mile radius of where they live?

That's really up to you. But my point wasn't that China is a better place, but that the standard of living is improving there while it is declining in the US.

And my point was that it was a ridiculous jump you made, saying the standard of living in the United States is declining because some park has some outdoor pissers. I wouldn't have even known about this unless you brought it up. Maybe that park was inspired by China - http://www.scmp.com/news/china/soci...e-stink-over-open-air-chinese-toilets-without

I search for standard of living China, top of page I see:

"Last year, the comparable per capita income in the US was $51,749; in Japan, under $36,000; in the EU, about $34,500; and in China, less than $9,900. By this measure, Chinese living standards remain 20 percent of those in the US; and less than 30 percent of those in Japan or the EU, on average."

Improving, ok. But up to U.S. standards, no.

Except I didn't say that, though, did I?

Enough silliness. Here are the 2 urinals. I'd say the Chinese one offers more privacy, is less indiscrete, and is less likely to result in some passerby's shoes getting splashed with urine. And the Chinese are still complaining about them. Imagine the complaints if they got the San Francisco version!

Wow. In China, they are busy getting rid of their open air toilets and installing modern facilities. In San Francisco, they are going the other way and installing open air toilets.
One country ascends, the other descends.

You said descend and the only thing you mentioned are toilets. Yes, it was silly. And with the info I added in my last post. I'll agree with you that China is getting better, but nowhere near the U.S. and when you're at the bottom, there is lots of room for improvement. Of course Communist countries don't tend to be that great.

Nothing about the urinal causing a decline in the USA standard of living. Being a representative example of it, yes.

I'm not going to argue with you about the decline of the US. People either see it, or they are just so used to living in the haze they can't see it. Either way, my opinion won't change a thing. It just saddens me, and sometimes I can't help but comment on it.

Please lets stop showing crazy SF's homeless urinal (and trust me they are not everywhere in SF) and making a fuss about it. lol

One day we will have India make our Walmart stuff and we will see how China handles that.

British Police Station Was Quarantined After Arrival Of Vomiting Illegals

A police station in Luton in the East of England has been placed on lockdown after receiving a group of illegal migrant detainees who were feared to be carriers of a contagious disease.

Fifteen illegal migrants were discovered in the back of a lorry by British police, but a routine immigration violation arrest turned into a medical emergency when the men and women complained to headaches and started vomiting in custody.
