Someone in the family (my family no less) was trying to connect the europeans who came to America with the refugees.
I explained to her, and her mother backed me up, that our family came to the USA direct from France (grandparents on my dad's side) via Canada (still a lot of family up there, why I am so pro Canada).
But they integrated asap by getting jobs (my grandfather was an elevator operator until the day he retired).
And freaking learned ENGLISH and obeyed the laws of the land!
Anyways, one less niece now following me on facebook! hahahahhahaha

It really is as simple as you mentioned: get integrated ASAP, by learning the language and obey the laws of the land.

The vast majority of immigrants have done that, except for one group... Muslims. Their religion is the problem. Experts, the media and all kinds of Liberals can give us all the excuses in this world to defend them til they are blue in the face, but the hard fact is allways the same; Islam is incompatible with western values and with other major religions in the world.

This American thing of having to register for Political Party A, B, C or D is a such a dumb idea that makes absolutely no sense at all. Why not simply have a Voter Registration Card with all your data, that allows you to vote for any Tom, Dick or Harry on election day... like most of the rest of the world does.

For a country that is the most technologically sophisticated on Earth, It has one the most error-prone, susceptible to fraud, flawed, manipulated, antiquated system type of elections in the world.

I mean how can a candidate like Hillary start off with several hundreds of super delegates in the bag? Yes I know... they must have been bought off. Or all the crap going on on the Republican side, where in some states the voters seem to have no constitutional right to decide the winner? And I'm not even talking about all the scam going on behind super-packs or allowing illegal aliens to vote, just to name a few things.

Having elections on Tuesdays is another head scratcher for me. I can understand the historical part of it, but in the 21st century it makes no sense.

Couldn't Americans simply simplify things, come election time?
