Well, you have to admit this is pretty creepy...

Jade Helm’s troubles started with a map, released by the military, which depicted the area of operations. It showed seven southwestern states colored red for “hostile” (including Texas) and blue for “permissive” (including California). The map sent the conspiracy-minded into overdrive.

At the public hearing this spring, military spokesman Lt. Col. Mark Lastoria explained that those designations are part of a fictional scenario: Jade Helm is intended to simulate U.S. Special Forces helping resistance fighters restore democracy in an imaginary country. The operation’s logo, which features a Dutch wooden shoe, is meant to represent anti-Nazi resistance in World War II Europe.

The US government doesn't have a great track record in "restoring democracy," either at home or overseas.

No you don't, only conspiracy types and crazies would think that. These people are just dumb as hell and people just slightly smarter than them, take advantage of it. Invade Texas, hahaha, damn. They're getting killed in the comments in that article.

Simple question for you:

Some Texans fear Obama-led military invasion

Do you think that is a rational fear?

No, I think normal people would find that creepy, JB.

So far as irrational fears, they are all over the place. People are irrationally afraid of Christian fundamentalism, Monsanto, GMO foods, Fukushima radiation, socialism, Jews, Chinese, gluten, eggs, sugar, libertarians and the thought that American just might not be the greatest country in the world. So what? The exercises, as described are still creepy.

Military exercises, which every country in the world that has a military does, is creepy?

"is a routine training mission that poses no threat to anyone."

That's it. Adults thinking a state is going to be invaded are just f'ed in the head.

That's right. Only crazy people would think a map like this is creepy.....(Source: US Army)

Training exercise, you really don't understand countries do that? And why would a map creep you out, unless you thought there was something more to it than a training exercise. Rational people understand what a training exercise is and that maps are used. Training exercises are nothing new, we're just in the Internet Age where some people know how to rile people up and make money off of them.

Above, you said, in bold - It showed seven southwestern states colored red for “hostile"

7? I count 2. Are these people not only crazy but colorblind? What are the other 5 besides Texas and Utah.

"A survey of registered Republicans by Public Policy Polling in May 2015, found that 32% thought that "the Government is trying to take over Texas", and that half of all Tea Party supporters are concerned with an imminent Texas invasion."

haha, half. Just in case you ever think that's a sane group.

Alex Jones
"They're going to practice breaking into things and stuff. This is going to be hellish," Jones said. "Now this is just a cover for deploying the military on the streets... This is an invasion ... in preparation for the financial collapse and maybe even Obama not leaving office."

Other
"Some conspiracy theorists have connected the Jade Helm 15 military exercise with an apocalypse caused by a comet or asteroid striking the Earth."

So yes, crazy is a pretty accurate term to describe crazy people.

That's not a complete map of the US - I thought you understood that. You must be American, so I'm pretty sure you are aware that the map has 7 states, and that you were reading a typo.

I guess you don't know what Southwestern is. To you Southwestern states means all states. Brilliant. There are no 7 Southwestern states in red, what you bolded.

It showed seven southwestern states colored red for “hostile"

Go ahead and name them please.

Which part is the typo, give me the correct version. Is it Southwestern or all the U.S. Is is 7 or 2. Do you even know? I'm getting this all from your post, so correct it.

And what would your advice be to the people living in those dangerous red states. Should they flee to the safe blue states? Or fight the invasion?

I see two full red states and one tiny place in a 3rd state where I believe a big military training base.

Why is Utah a hot bed lol

Move to Iowa dammit!
Remember years back, the Oklahoma Guard was having a nice exercise.
As we were at the range, wasting rounds, they were nice enough to say to us, want to really shoot some big guns?
Hell yes.
Aint nothing that beats a 50 cal machine gun for fun!
Unless it is a 20MM....

Just what is it the citizens of Bastrop County think they have that's worth a military invasion of their county?

It just sounds to me like an awful lot of wasted money.
