You think that was a thrashing, huh? It looked to me like two people both claiming to want a conversation about the same things, but both being too obstinate to ever have that conversation. But it's pretty hard to have a "civilized" conversation when one side thinks the topic involves "savages." That perspective oleaves no room for discussion.

Interesting to note that the Liberal MSM and in this particular case (CNN) were putting the blame on Pamela while the dead bastards are the victims. In fact, all day long CNN has been inviting dozens of Liberal guests to demonize Pamela.

You, of all people, should know that "truth" is subjective and often shaped by your personal belief structure. In this case of what "savages" means or implies, what you claim as the truth, I recognize as your opinion, just as I recognize your attempted sarcastic insult about how Liberals like myself are offended by truth. What you don't seem to understand is that your sarcasm is misplaced because I truly am offended at times by truth.

My truth is, it offends me when people trade their humanity for headlines, indiscriminately murdering fellow humans simply because they can.

It offends me when religion is used as justification for violence and terror.

It offends me that people are willing to give up liberties in exchange for security.

It offends me when racism is not recognized.

It offends me when racism is used as justification for violence and looting.

And on it goes. And my opinion is that if the truth doesn't offend you at times, maybe it should. Truth is not biased.

Just comparing his speeches to Obama's is enough to reach that conclusion. I lived in California when he was President. His words had tremendous impact, they had a punch behind them. Ex: "Mr Gorbachov... Tear down that wall", quite unlike Obama who is weak and disrespected by everyone except the Liberal American MSM and Democrats. In plain words... he's a pussy

One thing: You know how you've pointed out in another thread that nothing good has ever been posted about a certain group of people that you defend? Someone could say the same about what you say in this thread about Obama (plus the constant name-calling). Not that it's a big deal, just that some may find that as unfair as what you claim in the other thread. Just sayin' . . . .

Actually I've been fairly soft on Obama. I've said, on this thread a lot worst things about my own government and our politicians. I'll repeat what I had said about them.

We the people of Portugal should round up all our Politicians except for a handful, which I think, repeat, think are honest and trustworthy.

After rounding them up, they should all be put into old Cattle containers and shipped from Lisbon to the Antarctic for a minimum of 10 years. They would be free to play with the penguins, but I suspect that after a short while the Penguins would get really pissed off with these lying corrupt bastards.

Not sure if 10 years would be enough for them to come back with some "fresh" thoughts, but we would give them a 2nd chance.

So there you have it Verbster, hope you agree with me that I've been very mild with Obama in comparison to the Bandidos we have here. Most Politicians don't really deserve our respect.

Jeez, Not this again. I can only think of one reason today's conservative Republicans want to be thought of and take credit for what the newly-formed Republicans of Lincoln's time thought and did: They really wish they were liberals. Hell, if today's Republicans thought and acted like they did in Lincoln's time, I'd be one. Unfortunately, today's Republicans have as little in common with yesteryear's Republicans as Obama has in common with as the Democrats of Lincoln's time.
