? You liked his post. Which is it? His post is contradictory isn't it. He seems to be saying it's on Obama and Hillary, the economy, while at the same time quoting them as if he disagrees, saying it's not. Is is small business, big corps, all on Obama and Hillary? What? Combo of all? Bunch of other stuff?

Also, who's to blame for Japan's and Germany's poor economy right now?

I liked his post about kansas and the quote that he posted about the video. If he agrees or disagrees with the quotes, you will have to ask him. I think the quotes are interesting but hey, they are quotes and pertty short so just the quotes alone dont show much. I do like the video and the nice fed charts.

LOL

This is the USA thread not the Germany or Japan thread. None of what the video says has to do with either country directly.

It is sooo funny any , any mention of any economic or any view that is not in aliginment will be deemed anti-american, and instead of talking about the subject , deflected by brining up some other country. Please stick to the subject here, USA, Merica. Make a new Germany thread if you want to talk about Germany or Japan thread about Japan. I never ever ever said one country is better than another, if I did please find this quote and I will eat it.

Actually we talked about this earlier in the thread. We're talking about all countries here, except you like to talk only about 1. Seems Merkel is putting Germany's poor economy on Putin.

1 day ago, Washington Post

"Japan's central bank unexpectedly announced it will start printing more money to do ..."

"That's actually doing whatever it takes to try to boost Japan's still-nascent recovery and still-low inflation rate."

Other political news. The Republicans will control Congress tomorrow, will win the Senate.

New unemployment numbers coming tomorrow.

No contradiction. Governments obviously can steer the economy.... but unfortunately only into the ground. The Japanese government is leading the way, and it sure looks like the US is following.

Note: This is called the "USA political thread." That might explain the nature of the conversation.

So not small businesses or corps? Don't the corps own governments? You better have a talk with Theo if you disagree. So since our economy is getting better, you are now praising Obama?

Same reply I gave Theo. You guys need to go back and read. We already went over it. This thread is for everybody, it was what was agreed too. We've been talking about other stuff pretty much since the beginning, just the thread title doesn't reflect that.

Actually we talked about this earlier in the thread and I still think you need to start another thread for Germany and Japan. I am more than willing to talk about other countries and it is totaly inaccurate in saying that I only talk about one. If there is a direct relation, like the USA bombing the country all to hell , then it is directly related. Not random, Mike Moloney video with nice fed charts, oh now lets talk about Germany. Sorry no.

No, I prefer to put it here like we've been doing. Doesn't make sense to have a bunch of scattered threads all over the forum. We didn't start a new thread when we talked about the police state in Germany, or Nazis taking over towns. Didn't start a new thread talking about Scotland Independence. It was all right here. Again, we've been talking about world politics in this thread for while now. The person who started this thread doesn't have a problem with it.

If you don't want to talk about Germany's floundering economy here, you don't have too. It's a forum, post in threads that interest you.

Really? Where is this discussion at? I just saw that you dropped a video, but you didn't actually give your views on it. You didn't even post 1 word in that post. So what's stopping you? And no, I have no interest in one of your Alex Jones type people. Maybe you should start a new thread and keep all the conspiracy theory stuff there?

How could you possibly interpret that as praise for Obama? I'm really curious. The economy is getting better the way you would feel great if I pumped you full of drugs. Short term gains for wealthy investors (most of whom will cash out just in time), long term pain for everybody else when the QE drugs wear off.

You're saying corporations influence government? I'm glad you can see that, at least. Not sure what point you are trying to make though. Some corporations influence government, therefore corporations don't create jobs??

In order to be fair and balanced you should have mentioned the other side of the coin, where someone mentioned something as coarse and uncalled for as "cu*tservative" even though it wasn't really part of the discussion on the other thread, but is part of the verbosity to describe that group of inferior creatures called conservatives.

You totally missed the point and are taking the usage out of context. The term was added by me because I wanted it to be clear that derogatory terms on either side are both unacceptable. Its sole and specific purpose in being used was to counter "libtard" so that people could understand how offensive someone might find that term. The term itself, by definition, is targeted at a group. At no time did I say I thought the the term was appropriate, in fact, the point was the exact opposite of that. I certainly did not at any point actually use it in a sentence where I ascribed those characteristics to people and that is a huge and massive difference between how those two terms were used in that thread.

I even told you that it was to be fair and balanced and I thought your thumbs up indicated that you understood that. I thought nothing more of it thinking the point obvious and simple to understand.

The fact that this crap is used to create sides and animosity is precisely the reason I don't want political stuff in that thread. It pisses me off that even when people are shooting shit they can't just get along and get past their personal hangups. If you're going to totally misrepresent me, please have the courtesy to let me know. You can use an @.

That's an incredibly crude term that should not see the light of day.

As above. That was the point - I don't advocate its use at all.

Learn about the relationship between money and debt and you'll have most of your answer.

So what is it you are advocating that will change short term recovery into long term recovery? How long is long term? What constitutes a "recovery"?

Big, BIG day today!. My predictions;

Republicans win the majority in the Senate.
Republicans retain control of the House.
While watching the election results, Obama shits his pants (literally) and thoughts of "Executive Order" occupy his mind.. Trampling on the constitution? sure, but WTF does he care.
Later tonight or tomorrow morning, Obama for the 7th straight time announces he will work with Republicans, extending the olive branch, only to reneg on it later..

Later in the month, Harry Reed, Obama's home boy begins pushing appointments of liberal federal judges through the Senate before Dems leave with their tale between their legs.

2015; Obama makes a series of travels to California, visiting George Clooney and Barbara Streisand for yet another fund raiser to pay for his Library, unfortunately he has no accomplishments to fill it with, other than taking credit for killing Osama Bin Laden and winning the Nobel Peace Prize for his hard work in bringing peace to the Middle East, lol

You forgot the long range predictions: The minority Democrat senators try a few of the Republican antics to slow government overreach (despite campaign promises for less government intrusion) and the Republicans about pop an artery, calling those tactics un-American and underhanded. The new president, a rich yacht owner named Mitt, promises to sign a constitutional amendment making filibusters a crime of treason punishable by death. After three years, the stock market is back down to George Bush levels, inflation is rampant and unemployment is back up to 9%. Right before the election Mitt and VP Jessie Ventura, are flying back from a Cuban cigar therapy session and mysteriously vanish over the Bermuda Triangle. Speaker of the house, Mitch McConnell steps up and within a month is kicked out of office for being senile. Bedlam ensues. A new party is formed - the Yuppies - and no one over 35 or uses soap is allowed to be a member. They win all the elections. Jesus returns to earth and is sent packing. A new virus - the Medusa virus - forms and infects everyone on the planet. All people turn to stone. Balance is returned, money is a thing of the past, and all is well once again around the planet.

There is no discussion because any video that you disagree with you will label "alex jones" or "conspiracy theory" which shows your total lack of thought. Watch the video, then comment. Maybe you should post your NSA snack room tough guy avatar opinons in your own thread. I didnt see you give any opinon about the video and instead random comments about Germany and Japan.

The economic figures are up, QE is ending and the interest rate is very low. Now what happens when there is a recession afterall? The fed is nearly out of ammo. There is not a lot left to do, but they could print more money, which in the end, doesnt help much.

As far as Germany and the Eurozone, the current down trend should slowly have some effect on the US market, at least making exports more expensive due to the rising dollar. One report from Deutsche Bank puts the Euro at well below the dollar in around four years. What would that mean for the US economy? Strong dollar sounds good, and is for some parts of the economy but it is horrible for exports.

Right now the EU economy is so good that the ECB (european central bank) is doing all kinds of experiments with 0,05% interest rate and a NEGATIVE interest rate for bank to bank loans. At first it seemed that the negative interest rates would staty away from the consumer but there have been a few articles in the mainstream media recently about how some banks are going to start using negative interest rates. What does that mean? You have to pay to store your money at the bank. What is the message? Spend Buy Spend Buy Spend pump pump pump it up, and when that doesnt work? The EU and USA banks are intertwined in a cats cradle of business , when one falls , they both fall.

As far as other countries
Hillary and Obama started the weapon flow into the ISIS area over 2 years ago, this is just a continuation of a Balkanization of Syria a la B.Clintion.
