Denver teens set out for Syria to join extremists; parents, FBI bring them back

http://edition.cnn.com/2014/10/21/us/colorado-teens-syria-odyssey/

Another stupid move in bringing them back. Why not just let them go and hope they get killed in Syria, or become sex slaves to the Jihadists. Now they come back to the US to probably kill Americans.

Special report: America's perpetual state of emergency
WASHINGTON โ€” The United States is in a perpetual state of national emergency.

Thirty separate emergencies, in fact.

An emergency declared by President Jimmy Carter on the 10th day of the Iranian hostage crisis in 1979 remains in effect almost 35 years later.

A post-9/11 state of national emergency declared by President George W. Bush โ€” and renewed six times by President Obama โ€” forms the legal basis for much of the war on terror.

One of my cousins who is anti-Obama posted this link and it pretty much nails it, stuff I said earlier. Especially the guy at the end, describes me. Asking why there has never been a party that has been Social liberal and Fiscally Conservative (I describe myself moderate/step to right)

And Cuban saying what I've been saying. Republicans should leave those social issues alone, since they're views don't fall in line with the majority of Americans.

Considering polygamy is illegal in Germany or that 90% of Muslims in Germany are from Turkey, that has a fertility rate of 1.87. But I guess when they get to Germany, it skyrockets to 18-28.
LOL yea it is true. The population in German is shrinking not expanding even with people having 18-20 children hahah.

I will watch the video again. Im not saying that it is a problem (polygamy) but the majority of muslums having 18-20 kids, I doubt it. They are also reporting from the one quarter of Berlin with a very high ammount of people from Turkey and not your everyday small city or town, I also like how they show extra police and as if it is really dangerous there hahaha, if you live in the US you will laugh really hard if someone tells you it is dangerous there.

So to you, Polygamay is NOT a problem? It's obviously not a problem to Muslims either. Having many wives is a status symbol. a symbol of wealth, power and domination. Very similar to owning many camels

Sorry typo "Im not saying that it is a problem (polygamy)" I mean that Im not saying that it isnt a problem. However it is very difficult to get any objective numbers on it. Also there are some the go into polygamy by choice, and I do not have a problem with that, only if people are forced into accepting polygamy.

I thought it may be a typo. I have no problem that Muslims marry many wives... as long as it's in their countries. In mine and in Europe they have to obey our laws, and on top of it they are committing fraud and milking the system with the knowledge of the Imams. The video shows how they do it and get away with it.

South Africaยดs President, Jacob Zuma is married to 4 wives and has a few others on the waiting list. He is a Zulu and in their tradition they can marry many wives. No problem there either, he's in his own country. Actually throughout Africa that is quite common.

Those that can afford it usually do it.

I've not met any Muslims, Hindus, Christians, Zulus or whomever with multiple wives. However, I have seen that TV show about the guy with several wives, which is weird since it's supposed to be illegal. Oh, and I guess there's a new one, My Five Wives. Utah.

I'm not sure what the benefits are, beyond the obvious, but it's strange it's nearly always multiple women as opposed to a woman and several husbands. For average folks, I don't see how it's affordable unless some wives work. Then it's like some sort of an update on the old-fashioned commune.

On the other hand, is it government interference to make laws who or how many others a person can marry? We seem to have just found out about regulating who can marry whom. Sort of ironic when a non-decision by a court creates law.

What seems to get left out are children, be it good or bad.

There are/were some tribes in North India, Tibet, Nepal area that were practicing it (women with multiple husbands) till recently.

It's usually the wealthy that can afford it. They like to show their status and power off in various ways; expensive cars, big houses or palaces, jewelry being displayed for everyone to see, owning slaves, cattle, camels and naturally one of their best trophies; many wives.

Personally I think it's ridiculous and should be banned everywhere. But if people want to do it in their respective countries... fine, but don't practice that crap in my country and on top of it make us pay for it.

No, they didn't distribute any of the pamphlets. The article says they "plan" to distribute pamphlets. However, I looked pretty hard in several places including the FFRF website and all of its nontracts and pamphets, and I didn't see anything at all resembling this kind of ugly publication.

I'd appreciate it if you could prove this publication truly exists (beyond Breitbart).

I wouldn't be too holier than thou... polygamy comes in many forms, under different names. The 'missionary position', as demonstrated by the church on indigenous women around the world was a form of polygamy to the "Holy Father".

Or, slavery.... legally it was slavery, genetically it was polygamy.

What a load of bull. So it was the church that went around the world to teach indigenous people from every corner of the globe how to have a good old fashioned shag?

As if people around the world needed to be taught how to have sex by church members.

For your information the term "Missionary Position" is invented in America and associating it with polygamy and slaves is even dumber

The legacy of Missionary-Colonialism is pretty clear... along with its sexual aftermath. (Unless you think the millions of descendants of slaves have 'christian names' because the Vatican had a sale).

I got the 'Missionary Position' teachings myself, from missionaries, while in Catholic school growing-up. In short doggy-style, et al, is for heathens; man atop woman was 'god's design for sex, and the sexes'. (The one man one woman marriage thing was included).

While I did not intend to link the two (other) forms of polygamy -in my post. Only the ignorant would claim they are NOT related... as it was the Missionary Catholic priest, Fr. Bartolome de las Casas, with Columbus on his return voyage to America, who first suggested replacing the Indian slaves with Africans -after all the Arawaks of the Bahama Islands, were wiped-out. Columbus replied, "Let us in the name of the Holy Trinity go on sending all the slaves that can be sold."

Beyond history, 'forms of polygamy', in 'missionary work' continues today. The kidnapping of girls, is a form Missionary 'polygamy'.

Forms of polygamy, can also be found in the large scale, established, Missionary Organizations. Here are some internal guidelines given to one (that I won't link to):

"Although the author is a member of the missionary movement known as the Family, this article is not reflective of Family policy or doctrine.

It is our belief that sex, when practiced as God ordained, designed, and intended, is a pure, needful, and beautiful wonder of God's creation. The Family has a well-defined policy governing the sexual interaction of its members and restrictions in place to protect minors, articulated in our Charter. The Charter codifies limitations on age ranges of sexual interaction permitted to full-time Family disciples. As a fellowship active in over 100 countries, these limitations have been crafted bearing in mind the laws regulating sexual interaction in the majority of the countries around the world."

You may not agree, but to me... "The Family" is "a form of polygamy to the "Holy Father".

You mean like how Breitbart invented that x-rated pamphlet supposedly going to kids? If you want to call someone names, start with them.

Not just Breitbart that wrote about it. Lots of others. You have a problem with Breitbart?

You want more? I can fill this up with many dozens of links..... as opposed to someone who won't put up a link.

Liberals and Atheists love putting down the Bible and Christians because they know nothing will happen to them. The same Liberals and Atheists are a bunch of cowards when it comes to Islam, 'cause they're shit scared to get their throats slit if they lift a finger at them.

What Big Bullies they are when it comes to attacking the Bible, but they squeak like scared rats when it comes to the Koran. Hypocrites

That's such crap. I lived in the Middle East for three years (not on a military base or in an oil compound, either) and I'm definitely not Muslim. How is that being a shit scared rat?

All of these links are just parrots of each other. No pamphlets, as described, have been handed out.
