Over 300 comments, most it looks like got fooled as well thinking it's a real story from a real site.
Few adsense ads, that's it. Somebody regged keywordnews.com, threw up a wordpress site.
You didn't ever read the Snopes page, it pointed it out as well:

The site even tells you it's fake and you still believe it's real:

The stuff coming about about bathrooms is pretty ridiculous. First, trying to tie transgender with wanting to abuse kids. But controlling by fear is a really old school way that apparently still works. I would be more worried about Catholic priests doing that. Or men, who are born men, look like men trying to do stuff. And then of all places to try something like that. At Target, where there are people galore around. In a bathroom where there is usually multiple people, people going in and out, good chance of getting caught.
Again, person in video. I would think a woman's bathroom would be more appropriate, than one for men only.
