For this, let's assume that .tel will not be a total flop.

What type of keywords will be most valuable for this extension? Will it be geographical keywords, like newyork.tel, losangeles.tel, etc, or what else?

I just checked and there are a total of 3 bids (3 domains x 1 bid each) out of 548 total .TEL. Not that impressive.

I personally never liked this extension .tel isn't that what you place on your business card ? Tel.1-222-333-4444.

I respect any one interested in this extension but compare it to a .pro. I jumped recently in the .pro looking at other opportunities outside .com. I ask non-internet savvy (the average joe) what domains they would remember from a list. The winners in the list from 5 people. Of course .com, .org, for my surprise .pro then .jobs.

Now this is not a scientific measure or anything, but if this people I know can remember those, then I am reaching deeper. Now with that been said, I am looking into .jobs. Big chances I could possible register 1 in particular

I think Geo .tels are worth keeping, came across a site [telireland.ie -Tel Ireland - nice to see.

I never said telireland_ie was a .tel - I posted it here has it should be of interest to .tel fans - its goal is to facilitate the populating of a large set of Geo .tel's relating to businesses and services in towns and cities in Ireland.
