Hi

For this, let's assume that .tel will not be a total flop.

What type of keywords will be most valuable for this extension? Will it be geographical keywords, like newyork.tel, losangeles.tel, etc, or what else?

.info is too long to type, which is why nobody registers them

^ Righto, too many keystrokes ... on one's mobile phone! :D :talk:

Congrats again, friends ... see you in the a.m. :music:

Brings my .tel regs to a total of seven, one being my last name. Not planning on getting any more, but who knows. ;)

You've got ... the highly brandable .TEL fever! :snaphappy:

Enjoy!

lol... well, Jeff, you are definitely in a very small minority then. You must have some pretty fat fingers if typing 'one' extra letter breaks your little heart. Most mobile web users can type a huge text message in a matter of seconds, so I see some massive craters in your theory. :music:

I wouldn't call it a 'fever'... especially compared to many other .tel investors here... lol

As you can see from my posts, I own 5 of my 7 .tel's in .mobi as well... I'm doing little more than setting up nice little combos. :cy:

Don't really want to list my entire portfolio, but in the spirit of the thread here are some from the property section:

homes*tel
apartments*tel
furniture*tel
cleaners*tel
movers*tel
plumbers*tel
builders*tel

I'm building a phonebook*tel ;)

haha, you don't need to share the rest of your directory, those are enough for anyone...you'd probably have the best complete set of quality generic names out of all domainers on this forum, at a guess...from the other's I know you've also got. congrats again. :bingo:
P.S. I just preordered another two I found still available:
sexpill.tel
bountyhunter.tel

Arvada.tel (I own the .mobi)
Olathe.tel (I own the .mobi)
DalyCity.tel (I own the .mobi)

Here's my final (for now) .tel list. I don't really like .tel and I'm not really planning on getting any/many more. Who knows...

it was quite interesting to see this old post from Ron and the history of the extension

http://forum.icann.org/tldapps/3A009DFF00000E33.html

this quote stood out to me for some reason

Thus the .tel gTLD becomes I quote again 'an uncomplicated IP-based telephone addressing system between any two or more Internet enabled devices, or between two or more devices where at least one is Internet enabled.'

g'night all. solid day today

I just bought two - one to protect my brand and another - shitty.tel lol!

I can't believe the sheer amount of garbage people are registering in this extension! I was checking just nonsense stuff and it's all taken! LOL

I want to see just how much of a spammer's paradise this extension will be. I will be conducting an experiment and in a couple months I'll report what I've found... ;)
