Hi

For this, let's assume that .tel will not be a total flop.

What type of keywords will be most valuable for this extension? Will it be geographical keywords, like newyork.tel, losangeles.tel, etc, or what else?

Can you modify their info (DNS, etc.)?

Indeed, this is a paradox: Dynadot, which didn't accept pre-bookings, seem to be the best! Maybe for this very reason: accepting applications in real time, instead of having to send batches at the same time, might be easier to manage, since it is after all what a registrar is doing every day.
No doubt in a few months there will be statistics of success rate among registrars, and there might be interesting teachings at that time.
While I don't expect much from registrars who were willing to accept submissions without advance payment, I would expect a better, on-time follow-up from registrars requiring advance payment (and in cases such as Name.com, deducting a fee even for unsuccessful applications).
Nevertheless, let's cool down: it is just too early to rush to conclusions, we have to understand the magnitude of a Landrush process, and be patient (don't forget that .tel names will be activated only by the end of the month).
I am not ruling out that we will still have some pleasant surprises: a name I applied for and I am probably the only one to have applied for (the name of a small LLC I own) is shown as taken, although I have received no news from the registrar.

You are not expected to modify the DNS of a .tel. At least not at this point, if I understand correctly, it might be possible in the future, with some conditions, but it is still unclear. .tel is not an extension like the other ones, it won't be put to the same use.

Construction.tel at dynadot I think this one fix the extension perfectly because everyone who needs something built needs a construction company. a category and killer. I will assemble a roledex of different construction accourse by geo region if not I will sell for xx,xxx companies all over

I just got an email from Dynadot. They said it's been sent to bulk customers only.

Anyway, I'm not investing a dime in .tel.

NewYork.Tel and Food.Tel were taken from my DM account. Couldn't get either.

I checked sunrise.nic.tel and it seems like EuroDNS securely got both. Good luck to whoever else is waiting.

Hummm, same thing for me. But I think we'll have to wait a little bit before knowing what's going on exactly.

Congrats!

Hope it isn't one of mine!

Those of us who booked will just have to wait and see.

There is no grace deletion for TEL domains. All registrations are final.

You cannot set name servers for TEL domains. You can only enter your contact information with the TEL central registry and they will generate a page for you.

Judging by the availables, .tel is not off to a fast start.

Some prime names just sitting there waiting to be regged.
Problem is the high reg fee :td:
