For this, let's assume that .tel will not be a total flop.

What type of keywords will be most valuable for this extension? Will it be geographical keywords, like newyork.tel, losangeles.tel, etc, or what else?

I spoke too early about my successful hand-reg - from several names I checked, two were available, I hand-reged them, funds were withdrawn from account, but they are now listed as "problem" with my registrar (Dynadot in this case, which didn't accept pre-booking, but registrations from the start of the landrush). Let's see, since the Whois cannot be reached, it is impossible to know what the real status is. For the time being no news regarding the pre-booked ones.


Regarding registrars: a major question is to know if all registrars pre-deposited enough funds: at the time of the .eu Landrush, some registrars had not sent enough funds to the registry, and were quite early out of the game. I directly inquired with one registrar about this before pre-booking three names there.

Curious to see what the results will be, really! And if the servers have resisted...

I have yet to receive the official word, but the 3 .tels I had pre-ordered at DM all are listed as being on DM's nameservers and as being locked..yet it also says all 3 are still pending registration.

Btw, the money was already taken out of my account early this a.m...what's that all about??

Probably pre-auth, just to make sure funds are available.
