I know that domains expire at different times, so surely there must be a way to sync a domain name backorder with a domain's expirey time?

Mabey Setting up the backorder up to the day it expires, then as soon as the time comes for it to expire to the market, for you to just click "Backorder" and Re-assign it?

I dont know! How do you peeps do it?

I don't know if I understand what you're saying, but from what I understand, the backordering services are checking these domains literally non-stop, and when a domain drops, it will be registered in milliseconds by these computers, so manually clicking "back-order" to catch it will make it very unlikely that you actually get the domain. So all you have to do is just put a backorder on a domain at any time, and just wait and hope your registrar is the quickest...

Unless you already knew that and I just dont get your question...

Uh uh. 3 different parties (registrar, registry, and backordering service) use
different technology.

They could pull it off. But at the risk of suspected conflict of interests?
