The .PRO Discussion

[InvisionTech]

It seems .PRO is slowly coming out of the cage with cheaper reg prices than they were a year ago and major registrars like netsol taking notice of the extension and promoting it.

Here are some that I picked up in last couple of days:

Alexandria.pro

Anchorage.pro

Arlington.pro

Belfast.pro

Birmingham.pro

Budapest.pro

Durham.pro

Fairfax.pro

Italian.pro

Lisbon.pro

Fire away with your regs after the relaunch on September 8th, 2008.

Regarding Microsoft - they own a bunch of .PROs...
Also I saw a few .PROs that are owned by P&G...

VERSE.PRO (2010) - one more US-company...

Per my monitoring, Chineses are also snapping regularly those .PROs which they understand...
And LLLLs with vowels as well...

[Jurgen Wolf]

Just 2 recent samples of their snaps:

SOHU
YOUKU

Accordingly to Hexonet's newsletter - looks that special regfee on .PRO is extended by Afilias up to June'30...

$1 with ELB is also unchanged...

Badness Index as of today (less is better):
.org 0.6
.PRO 0.7
.com 1.01
.info 1.4
.net 2.5
.biz 5.4

[Jurgen Wolf]

December for .PRO:
~410K >>> 414K+

[Jurgen Wolf]

$1 with ELB is also unchanged...

And $1.06 with NameCheap remains...

[Jurgen Wolf]

$2.17 Transfer at 1and1 is stable as well...

I don't see any ICANN-requirements to reserve LLL/NNN...
Really stupid policy from Afilias...

[Jurgen Wolf]

How December performs for you?
Still no any .PRO-offers for me this month...

Finished with 0 offers.
Never had such months.

KLOK.PRO (10 days ago) - one more NL-enduser...

Happy new year! Glad to see that registration and transfer promos are carrying forward into 2017 so far. I am unloading some .pros for $15 each to focus my portfolio. https://www.namepros.com/threads/high-commercial-value-pro-domains-15-each.993132/

Transfer .PROmos are absent...
1and1 just bill the same fee for Reg and Transfer for all TLDs that they sell...

1and1 will falsely bill the wrong charges. It's happened to me at least 10 times now. Every time I need to follow-up with them to try to get it corrected. But I'm in the process of moving any and all domains away from them.

I transferred tens of my .PROs to 1and1 in November and December - all were billed correctly for $2.17.
