It seems .PRO is slowly coming out of the cage with cheaper reg prices than they were a year ago and major registrars like netsol taking notice of the extension and promoting it. B-)

Here are some that I picked up in last couple of days:

Alexandria.pro

Anchorage.pro

Arlington.pro

Belfast.pro

Birmingham.pro

Budapest.pro

Durham.pro

Fairfax.pro

Italian.pro

Lisbon.pro

Fire away with your regs after the relaunch on September 8th, 2008.

Yes, and for those 3 domains the same scenario: caught by Dyna >>> after 48h deleted >>> handregged at Alpnames.

I wonder if a fresh backorder would have caught them.

Dynadot answered that all these backorders were not paid. So we already have at least 7 such deletions for the same Russian and he is not banned there... still alive...
The show must go on...

There are also going to be many more extensions, some of which may have proven themselves through mass use/acceptance.

There is already MASS ACCEPTANCE and adoption of the keyword, "PRO". However, business leaders and business owners have not yet connected the dots between the immense popularity of the keyword "PRO" and the availability of the domain extension, .PRO.

When "PRO" is to the left of the dot, look at the continuing, yearly prices some of the newTLD registries have asked:

PRO.reviews $55K/yr.

PRO.news $55K/yr.

PRO.consulting $55K/yr.

PRO.cricket $11K/yr.

On the other hand, the renewal fee for NEWS.pro is only $15.00/yr.

Market inefficiencies create investment opportunities. As far as relative domain pricing goes, .PRO is currently bargain priced. That advantage will eventually be priced into the domain marketplace.

And if it doesn't happen, then we're all living on Bizarro World!

I think it will all come down to trust.

If .pro becomes another spammy extension.. people won't trust it. Yes, it's been around since 2004? 2005? But .pro went away for several years and was not popular.. now it is coming back. But will it become a spammy extension or a good one?

Right now on Spamhaus, for example, it has 10% "bad" rating.. not too bad.. but could be better. Spamhaus is just one small way of measuring how spammy the extension is.

When choosing a TLD we should not be to influenced by spam stats.
You can establish a trustful website= domain in every extension if you do it right.

BTW, my personal experience / statistic is, that .com is definitely the 'spam leader'.

@brandnow I see a lot of .PRO-endusers everyday... The most of them are European...
If it is ignored by GoDaddy (unknown in the USA) - this is another theme...
