It seems .PRO is slowly coming out of the cage with cheaper reg prices than they were a year ago and major registrars like netsol taking notice of the extension and promoting it. B-)

Here are some that I picked up in last couple of days:

Alexandria.pro

Anchorage.pro

Arlington.pro

Belfast.pro

Birmingham.pro

Budapest.pro

Durham.pro

Fairfax.pro

Italian.pro

Lisbon.pro

Fire away with your regs after the relaunch on September 8th, 2008.

wolle.pro wool
stoffe.pro fabrics
perlen.pro pearls

regards,
I wish you good luck with these, but German word usually don't sell well under .pro. In fact, .pro nearly is unknown in Germany since it was so restricted.

I once had some Germany .pro domains but could only sell top domains like anwalt.pro or aktien.pro. I already let most of the others expire (for instance, fussball.pro now ist taken by some other domainer but still not active).

I see your domains as a complete waste of money, sorry.

And these absolutely formal restrictions were nothing.
The real reason that it was NOT supported or promoted by any German registrar.

1und1 (Schlund) started with .PRO just this month... after ~12 years since .PRO was launched...
And even as of now .PRO is NOT displayed there when checking keywords...

Thousands of Russian firms are buying .PRO for many years because it is really supported by all major Russian registrars.

So please forget about restrictions-myth forever.

p.s. If you are invisible - then you will be unknown 100%.
And that's all.

For German domains you may also try GOLEM.EU (Austrian marketplace)...

Each of those three names could be home to a successful website. They are far from a waste of money. Why be so negative?

Of course any domain name can be developed into a successful website. The question is: will somebody buy these names ?

It wasn't meant to be negative, and if developed as a successful website, then they're no waste fo money any more.

But if registered to be sold, they are.

BTW, there's no domainer in the world who never has wasted any money yet.

And again: I still didn't see any drops by German domainers...
Only non-Germans are dropping them...
