It seems .PRO is slowly coming out of the cage with cheaper reg prices than they were a year ago and major registrars like netsol taking notice of the extension and promoting it. B-)

Here are some that I picked up in last couple of days:

Alexandria.pro

Anchorage.pro

Arlington.pro

Belfast.pro

Birmingham.pro

Budapest.pro

Durham.pro

Fairfax.pro

Italian.pro

Lisbon.pro

Fire away with your regs after the relaunch on September 8th, 2008.

gTLD's are coming out. toss any hopes aside for several years of any particular gTLD "standing out" including "good ones" that are already out now like .pro

Good News !

A few people hear have outstanding .pro domain names

Now all that needs to be done is to turn them into a profitable business...the tools are there and your entry level costs have fallen 90%

You cant have better news....

so a little work for a few years....we all know how to do that

For any TLD and .pro is no exception, the only good news is when we see enterprise level applications developed in that extension, imho.

They are trying to manage dot pro with same rules than new TLDs. :gl:

So this could potentially mean the removal of restrictions??

The biggest .PROblem - not even absolutely formal "restrictions" (random verification) but ignoring by GoDaddy, 1and1, Namecheap, Dynadot etc.

Yes, you are totally right; but may be current absolutely formal "restrictions" are the reason because dot pro is being ignored by GoDaddy, 1and1, NameCheap, Dynadot, etc. :gl:

I'm sure: these registrars have a very weak marketing teams to understand the potential of .PRO, they just want BIG money from Afiliasโ€ฆ
