It seems .PRO is slowly coming out of the cage with cheaper reg prices than they were a year ago and major registrars like netsol taking notice of the extension and promoting it. B-)

Here are some that I picked up in last couple of days:

Alexandria.pro

Anchorage.pro

Arlington.pro

Belfast.pro

Birmingham.pro

Budapest.pro

Durham.pro

Fairfax.pro

Italian.pro

Lisbon.pro

Fire away with your regs after the relaunch on September 8th, 2008.

Does anyone park their .PRO s at godaddy, using their "cash parking" system?

My .PRO domains do not get significant type-in traffic, but I parked one there anyway to explore the options. :)

I noticed there is an option to include a custom text link to a page of your choice. It's for people to make a webpage with contact and purchase information

There is also an option to have a standard link that opens a form so someone can use the (provided) form to ask you a question (sent to your email address). It looks like you can have a custom text link AND a contact form link at the same time.

This appears to be a convenient way to park a domain while having TWO ways for an interested buyer to take the next step. Without resorting to the whois.

FWIW, my cash parking "account" was included with something else I bought, so I didn't have to decide if the cost was worth it.

I prefer:
Bodis - inquiry form.
ParkingCrew - inquiry form OR extermal link to Sedo's offer page for example.

Total .pros registered fell by 8.5% from 143,971 to 131,774 between October 2013 and February 2014. RU Center is still the biggest .pro registrar with .pros registered increasing from 28,703 in the same period. Average daily WHOIS searches are down 10.6 year on year to February 2014 at 86,800. That's back to the levels seen in the middle of 2012, the peak was 135,900 in July 2013.

NBA .pro website. Check out Andrew Wiggins (dot) Pro. There was an article about this in domaininvesting.com

Is anyone else experiencing troubles with Encirca dot pros at this time? They're presently asserting that all of my plain Second Level DN's are now subject to the much more rigorous pro requirements of the Profession Specific Second Level Domain rules (these are the law.pro, med.pro, etc type DNs). They're rejecting my FL local business license (that meets all of the dot pro registry's published rules), and instead insisting that all such previous "self certifying" type plain Second Level DN registrations are now subject to the (old/original) much more onerous PS-SLD rules. They've placed restrictive holds against one or more of my many premium dot pro DNs. It seems that Encirca has taken it upon themselves (without any help from either the dot pro registry or ICANN) to essentially roll-back all liberalizations to the dot pro registration rules of the past few years. If they don't return control to me of my domains very quickly (as so far they're fighting me hard), it looks like I'm going to have to escalate this dispute over their heads. I don't think the dot pro registry could be of any help to me in this matter, as they've already rejected communicating with me directly (quixotically asserting that ICANN rules prohibit them from communicating with dot pro registrants!). What are my options? Is this a classic DN dispute subject to the published Dispute Resolution rules... or can I instead initiate a standard private civil action against them? Does anyone here have any experience or insights about this? Are any other Encirca customers being unjustly abused like me in the manner?

U haven't heard of that yet, but thanks for sharing this. It reminds me that I should quickly transfer my domains to another registrar, since Encirca, which was really good, has become worse over the years.
