Names tv.com are solid

I don't own any in this area. Everyone has me beat in this area.

I like product names for sale. Like copiertv.com vs paying the hefty yearly fees in .tv format. But that's just me.

I am trying trim my portfolio down. But my keyword tv.com are all keepers and my financial names.

What I mean Jeff is some names I am not sure why to register unless the registrant is developing because I do not see any resale value except for a one in a million perfect buyer. To have 10 is great, but if the need a miracle buyer portfolio grows to 100 then it can be expensive to renew and probably will just get dropped.

I like LLLtv.com,Names,Geo(obviously all regged but for a couple)product,or what would be a good name for a show. I think some are a stretch imo.

When you have certain product names in .tv IMO you are using the weight of the keyword in an extension that is not one of the big three but still works for SEO.
If you use producttv.com then I take it that the domain should be about tv related.

Example (One I did not see anyone reg yet) MerchantAccounts.tv can be a site about Merchant Accounts and the .tv is not meant to be intuitive on the part of it being a tv show about merchant accounts. The registrant got the domain because he could not afford merchant accounts.com/net/org.

MerchantAccountstv.com denotes IMO that it will be a tv show or site about MerchantAccounts.

I agree in what your saying some ray. Guess I can relate some. For instance toners.tv is a perfect example. I am attached to this name but its bad for .tv extension. However running video how to install a toner into a printer could show video. Still brainstorming on this some.

I do own tonertv and tonerstv.com to protect my investment in toners.tv.

Obviously that's the game plan and run with eccomerce and a platform like that. Still brainstorming on the toners.tv idea

Like I own widgetstv.com and widgets are a huge thing.

Been a year and surly learned a lot. I admit I have done many dumb names but love the concept of keyword tv.com

There is an extension

Sometimes the keyword and the extension are intuitive IMO


Like weddingbanquet.com is a great domain to own imo for the keyword, and you got the top extension. But there is nothing intuitive about wedding banquet and the word COM

So someone may take wedding banquet .tv because they could not get com/net/org
The words are not that intuitive with .tv either IMO.

Now you could have a domain like Go.to The .to extension is not a highly popular extension but the domain GO.to IMO is highly intuitive and goes well. Weddingbanquet.to would really only be good for a TONGAN Wedding planner IMO.

So sometimes you are using .tv for the intuitive nature, others just for the keyword.
MerchantAccounts does not go with .tv but Merchant Accounts is a high paying keyword and if you could not afford the com/net/org then using .tv for the keyword alone makes sense. Again IMO

You are fine to have them as protection of a developed site

Thank you, I have owned that for awhile, the tv.com discussion is not new. The first tv.com/net/org thread was in 2005.

Gratistv.org gets some traffic too, that and USAchannel.org earn their way two to three fold each year. That's all you can ask out of a .org handreg IMO that it makes two to three times reg fee while waiting for a buyer or a developed site.
