The official final countdown for L-LL and LL-L

A number of domainers have been quietly registering away since the LLLL countdown finished (some also before). There are still good pickings in this countdown including double letters. A few *-LL.com have already been cleared out from A-Z and not just the e-LL and i-LL.

Maybe someone can pretty please persuade 3spar to edit the DYYO software to accommodate?

Also anybody got any latest update on total available and sales updates?

I think that once all of the L-LL.coms and LL-L.coms are registered they should not be sold for any less than $80 each MINIMUM. Currently large holders like Buy Domains sell to endusers for $2500.

If you mean how much should they be priced at (they should sell for whatever you can get for them!), I'd say keep an eye on what the drops are doing -- if they're all getting picked up for $50 but not going much higher, for example, you could probably reasonably ask $50-$75 for low quality combos. But honestly, after a sellout, I'd try to hold them for as long as possible rather than sell them anyway.

I agree that holding out is the first option. However, domainers, have to eat too. (Besides pay registration fees for their 4 letter domains.) Which brings us again to the topic of pricing. So, it is your opinion that a person should sell the domain for whatever they can get for it and not hold out for a minimum price based on rarity or based off pricing of the L-L domains. Well, there is nothing wrong with selling that way.

However, as resellers I think it would be good if we also talked about more than just the countdown in this thread. I like to look way into the future and examine things more closely. If we look at numbers, pronounceablity, classifications like CVC etc., with these domains as well as other comparable sales like go-o selling for $2500, it will help people determine what to buy, sell, or hold onto as well as generate some confidence with potential buyers and investors.

I think they have a chance, because both searches and parking pages return the same results as for the non-hyphenated terms. This counts for something at least.

However, until they are completely sold out, only few bother to see the potential. Looking at the facts, they aren't that bad at all, and it opens a whole new market to businesses that can't afford a non-hyphenated term or abbreviation.

I've read forums that ridicule these domains, and most people seem to agree on that completely. If I have learned one thing, its that one should keep an open mind.

There aren't that many of these domains to begin with.

I like BL-U as it's pronounceable, has good letters, 74,000,000 google results.... with Blue Ray being the predominant leader.

Let's see. If a company wanted Blu.com - It woud probably be worth about $28,000 Minimum. There are only 2 alternatives in the whole world. B-LU.com which to me sounds more like Baloo due to the location of the hypen. However, your BL-U flows easily into the Blue sound. I would not sell it for less than $1,000 to an enduser. Or, $200 to a reseller.

Wow thanks. You just gave me such a high feeling knowing that i didnt buy these for no reason a while back. So, i just did a quick look and i regged BA-Y (428,000,000 google results) and BE-D (332,000,000 google results) and almost my favorite D-EA (19,800,00 google results)

Think these are my saviors??? i have a small list... but they are all good and only good letters or school abbreviations. (got them while i was in school daydreaming about domains instead of listening to my professor.....lol)

Several days ago while searching for some php coding I happen across a developed LL-L domain that was home for a large power company. This find sparked my curiosity to what is developed and by who.

I compiled a list using a Google Search for each series of LL-L's from LL-a to LL-z using "=a.com", "=b.com"... collecting those developed sites from the first 400 results.

I noticed some interesting trends. The first being many professional business firms named "Bla,Bla & Bla" seem to gravitate to LL-Ls using their acronym with the ampersand being replaced by the hyphen. The premium suffix letter was "-a" because of so many professional associates and "-p" was second due to partnerships.

Here is the frequency of suffix (e.g. -a) use to show there is a premium suffix pattern.

My own conclusion from this little study is LL-a.com is the premium LL-L and has a ready made clientele of professionals.
