I think I started the first BQB.com auction ever. I'm not sure but it looks like it's up and running.

I gave a 100% instant refund, even offered some extra money to make up for the time lost. !

Now you mention it. Do you think giving something back made up for your bad deal??

The person purchased your name and it doesn;t matter how you dress up the fact you gave the person something...

You was wrong ......................

yes - thats why he has all the right to leave negative feedback.

doesn't take away the story about the beta thing.

If what you did is allowed then the site will be cluttered with millions of overpriced domains just sitting there with fake starting bids and it will be as dead as zuho.com is. No one agrees with you, you\re just making yourself look worse, you should stop now.

I agree with you on some of your points, i also made a loss. Sure it was minimal but i sold a domain on BQB and got 1/5th of offers I'd had, but i still sold it.

I think with listing on BQB right now you are risking it and if it does sell low, you'll have to bite your tongue and take it :3

It is foolish not to set a reasonably high reserve. Besides, you could be banned from Sedo for doing just the same thing. Maybe it's not too late to set things right... act now.

thing is - I'm not sure if I'd use BQB ever again, as the interest in domains is very low.
All sales I've made there are with losses, I don't think I'd list any more names there.

I prefer sedo/forums to sell stuff.

Exactly. He should have accepted this mistake. And that would be quite different. I hope he learned a lesson now. :)

@TM

Good luck with your next sales :)

ohhh I've been banned on BQB :(

I didn't sell owew.com, the auction ended for $96

the paypal payment was all messed up, I gave a refund, partially because I didn't want to sell it, now I'm banned.

I deserve a NEGATIVE FEEDBACK instead of a BAN - that's what feedback is for isn't it?

I even offered the dude some money to make up for wasting his time, but there's NO WAY I'd sell a premium name like owew.com which is worth easily $400++ for $96.

what do you guys think? fair that I'm banned or did the buyer just have to give me a neg feedback?

As a member with over 100 feedback at BQB I am very happy Reece has taken these actions. I have made quite a few sales that have been under what I paid for the domains. Was I happy about this? Not particularly. Although I realise it is better for the site in the long term. These domains selling for bargain prices will in turn promote the site and attract more members seeking to get some bargains of their own. I am quite happy to start some domains at $1 with no reserve and let them go cheap because I see the tremendous amount of work Reece has put into this great project and wish to do all I can to help him make it a success.

However there are also names which I need to get a certain price for. That is why there is a "reserve" feature. If you didn't realise the reserve could be used then you would have just started it at the price you needed. To have a domain sell (whether it's under price or not) and then not follow through with the sale just because you decide against it shows extremely bad business practices IMO. How would you like to have sold the domain for $1,000 and then the buyer decide that they don't want it now because they think the overbidded on it and paid too much in the end? Or how would you like to be the buyer and bid on something, think you got a bargain only to have the seller turn around and cancel the deal? I would much rather swallow losing a few hundred dollars than risk my reputation.

Whether the act was done on BQB, Sedo, NP or any other sales venue does not matter at all. As far as I know BQB is no longer in BETA as such but gone live. Even if it is still in BETA what does this matter? You have agreed to sell a name there knowing that it is in BETA with a limited amount of members. You should therefore take the appropriate steps (reserve, starting price, promotion, etc) to ensure the domain does not sell under what you need. The reason there are a limited amount of members at BQB is to sift out the trustworthy members from the rest. I would much rather have a site with a small amount of members but knowing that the deals I make will be honoured and paid quickly then have a site with a bunch of cowboys who I cannot trust.

ToiletMonster - I have dealt with you in the past here on NP and have had a positive experience. You were a great buyer and I recommend you. However what you have done at BQB is simply wrong and unethical IMO. I recommend you acknowledge this and apologise to all involved for your sake.

Sorry for the long rant but I feel pretty strongly about this :)

Toilet Monster:

Sorry to see that you decided to bring your shameful behavior to the attention of this forum. After knowing that Reece had banned you from Bqb I promised myself to turn this sad page and leave it in the past. But I just cannot stand your absolute lack of guilt, presenting yourself as a victim in front of your fellow domainers.

I am “the dude” that won the auction at Bqb for owew.com. Twice you refunded my payments through Paypal, trying to disguise your actions as a paypal “receiving limits exceeded”. However, the notifications from paypal were clear in the fact that it was YOU who had made the refund, not them. When asked what the problem was, you made up of sort of childish excuses like saying that you didn’t have a machine fax to send an ID requested by paypal to validate your account.

It soon became clear to me that you were not only trying to cancel the auction that I won, but that you were even trying to avoid a negative feedback, by presenting your rejection as a paypal problem and not as your own decision.

For two weeks, you accumulated lie over lie, and not satisfied with that, proposed me to complete the transaction through Sedo escrow, and asked me to make an offer there, telling me that in that way you wouldn’t need to use your papal account.

After some hesitation, because I hadn’t bought a word of what you were telling me, I made an offer at Sedo for the same amount I had won the auction at Bqb.

After this, you not only didn’t accept my offer, but instead decided TO SEND THE DOMAIN TO AUCTION. So you sent to auction a domain that you had already sold!

I am a peaceful and reasonable man, but there are limits to what you can stand. You not only lied repeatedly to me but finally laughed at my faced. I still feel angry and insulted. Even so, I wouldn’t have mentioned anything in this forum if you had not decided to come here and repeat your lies. You are now insulting all the members of this forum by throwing to them your own distorted version of the facts. I kept a screen print of the whole messages board for this transaction, and I will put it online for everyone to know your shameful behavior if you insist in your lies.

I know you are very young as it shows clearly in your actions, but you need to grow up really fast if you want to regain the respect of this community.

Wow!

This is a very damning account. I have sold over $15,000 worth of domains to mibworld and he is an extremely trustworthy and respectable member. For him to be blatantly lied to like this and have a domain that he rightfully won snatched from him is a terrible insult. Hopefully this will be a lesson that you are much better off losing a few hundred dollars and keeping your respect. If I was to do something unethical like this the first time I dealt with mibworld I would not have had the chance to sell over $15,000 in domains. The wise realise that a reputation is priceless :)

ToiletMonster needs to make a full apology to retrieve any shred of respect he might still have here. I know that many people (including myself) would now not deal with him out of principle after hearing about this trail of lies & deceit. Especially after coming here and acting hard done by after ripping someone off and renegging on a done deal while trying to shift the blame.

I think this shows what a great administrator Reece is for taking appropriate action and keeping BQB clean. Congrats Reece :)

It sounds like the monster is well aware of all the problems and pitfalls of dealing with "just some beta site" in BQB. Yet he listed the names anyway?

Poor taste, Monster, to act this way and then defend it.

This is the "very" reason one would want to sign up and use BQB. Knowing Reece will not tolerate this kind of conduct is comforting to this BQB member.
