I think I started the first BQB.com auction ever. I'm not sure but it looks like it's up and running.

Just signed up. Had an issue but PM'd Reece and realised it was my fault. Site is great and I will be busy uploading thousands of domains I need to liquidate cheap in the next couple of weeks. Am really looking forward to this site as it has great potential. Great job Reece :)

Thanks David :)

David's been posting LLLL.coms for sale on BQB with no reserve and minimum bids of just $35 -- an excellent opportunity to potentially snag a few bargains!

I was getting worried that paypal would be shunned off but good to hear that it will be accepted for this;)

:hehe:

As much as I think everyone on here knows I hate Paypal, I'll concede that it's a battle I'm never going to win. So... I signed up for a business Paypal account for BQB. D-:

Great site Reece,

Think it could have something under the categories on the left hand side like more advertiser banners or something, maybe some links to domain buying guides and information or something, just so it looks less empty on the left of the site and balances with the right hand side. Even a pattern or jigsaw puzzle pieces down the left to match the picture under the sign up section on the right. This is just IMO of course, others may feel differently

Also doesn't worry me, but a possible idea may be to change 'no bullshit' to 'no bull' on the slogan, just so it doesn't put of any potential sellers or buyers who may be put of by that, of course only my opinion again

Take care man, good job

___________

Thanks mate :)

It doesn't look like much yet, but the left side will be receiving your suggestion in the form of a "News" section for info related to BQB and the domain industry.

edit: Arg... It wouldn't let me rep VURG and now it won't let me rep you... Well, it's the thought that counts, right? :hearts:

Reece a news section will be great and providing good information, it seems to be one of your gifts. Good work! I see Aussie domainer has listed a nice 5 letter in the form of Yoxic.com on your site too, plus it is filling with LLLL.com's too, great stuff.

Thanks, sure BQB will be a great success in the domain world! :tu:

Repped for the top effort

Yep, I've got some quad premium LLLL.com's, standard LLLL.com's, 5L.com's and am just starting to add some L-L-L.com's on now. There will be a thousand plus more coming over the next weeks from me as I am very confident in Reece's new baby. :)

Yeah, I agree. I have about 1,500 of these so would be nice if they could be listed at BQB

Just registered on BQB.

Suggestion to Reece:
Change the words "Reputation Rating" in the listing page to something like "Sellers Reputation".
Reputation Rating is tongue twister and doesnt make much sense. :p

Thanks for the suggestion mate :)

Have alot of modifications + updating to do still (.nets should be ready for prime-time now!).

Awesome Reece! Thanx for that. I may add some of my .net's after I finish the others, I'm still not sure if I want to part with any at reseller prices rather then holding out for end users. If I do decide to go the end user route you know where they'll be listed :)

I've listed a single LLLL.net, just to see how the listing process works and i have to say, i am very impressed.

Presumably the location being shown is for whois verification? To prove the domain is actually the users?

I'm running BQB on a "Trust Until Abused" basis. Every new member is being manually checked (very easy when they're NPers to check their feedback, posts etc to get a feel for what they're about) before being allowed to buy/sell on BQB. Other than that, I'm allowing people to list domains without safeguards.

It's always recommended to do a whois check if only to make sure the seller didn't make a genuine mistake and that they still own the domain they're listing (they could have sold it elsewhere between the start of the auction and it's end and forgotten to delete the auction on BQB).

I have the option in place to manually approve every auction (currently only being used for the Generics section, however this can be done on a user-basis across the site as well) should that become necessary.

Looks really good :) One thing I would suggest is to change the main menu bar (Home | Buy | Sell etc) so that you can click anywhere on each tab, not just on the actual text. It'd make the site much easier to navigate IMHO (as I expected to be able to click the whole thing, and then it taken me a few seconds to realise what was going on).

Thanks Tristan! That's a great suggestion :)

Will definitely look into that (along with about 20 other great ideas this thread has produced so far!) :hearts:

Hi Billy, just enter the year of birth (1971) and it should go through. :)

Ah yes, that's another suggestion I'd wish to make - "Date of birth", to me, signals dd/mm/yyyy (mm/dd/yyyy, etc). It taken me 5 minutes to realise I just had to put the year. Maybe it'd help to specify this on the registration form? :)
