They've had a paid parking service before called namerenters.com if I remember correctly. I used it for a couple months when it first came out, but had very little success and never got to the minimum payout figure. They did a reintruction of expirefish as well recently, but I haven't heard of any success, so it seems to have been more cosmetic than anything. I wouldn't put much faith in them until they prove themselves in the market.

I am very happy with Registerfly as a registrar though and they have the best interface in the industry IMHO. I do think the domain marketplace has some great future when they add the ability to add names not registered with them. I guess it will depend on pricing/commissions as to how that will work. I just hope the changes don't intruduce bugs to what works pretty well right now.

i dont think the paid parking programmes will be successfull when options like sedo and fabulous are there

It all depends on the pay rate really. If word gets out that registery fly is paying 80% while sedo pays 70% then everyone will want to switch. I don't know the percentage that sedo or fabulous pay, just using examples.

but you're probably right, I doubt it will be successful

Registerfly has screwed up my transactions so many times I will never do business with them again.

They are part of the Unified Names / Dodora people using an enom system, and their response to negative posts about problems on the forums has been "we don't know who they are, and frankly we don't give a damn" including Namepros.

At the same time, they wrap a frame around the forums and put them on their own site.

I've used their "Live...How May I Help You" site a couple of times and they have been really helpful.
No complaints from this user.

They helped me out too during a live chat session.

Are they a real registrar, or are they a reseller for enom?

They are supposedly enom's largest reseller and have a s@$! load of names under register. They are actually excellent, I switched all of my names from godaddy to RegisterFly.com.

The rumour mill is they will be accredited this year

sedo uses google, if fly ends up using google I am sure they can be competitive against sedo.
